This used to be such a nice place - We first came because Chicagio Magazine rated it worth the trip. It was run by a really nice owner, had a great young vibrant staff and incredible cake designs. Now it is decorated in browns, maroons and yellows (not exactly friendly or welcoming), the new owner cant seem to keep it staffed so he has one employee and when he cant make it into work the place is simply shut down, posted hours are rarely followed (the place was even closed down the entire July 4th weekend), The machinery is still the same machines the previous owner admitted often broke down and I am pretty sure was the main reason the owner closed the old parlor. The ice cream is often soft and the pies are pretty expensive and not all that pretty - The only thing going for the place is that it uses Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream but even that isnt enough to get to to go baclk anymore - Oberwiess is moving a block away and whether the ice cream tastes as good or not at least they will be open when they say they will and the ice cream will be served at the right temperature

Outstanding customer service! This is by far the cleanest Ice Cream place I have ever been to! They offer a large variety of delicious flavors. They also have dipped cones! This place is not near our home but always worth the trip! 5 stars!

Cant say much about the ambience or pricing as I was there at 6pm on a Monday in February and dont get ice cream often. The staff was friendly and they had all the requisites.

Weve been coming here off and on for the past 7 years. A new owner just took over - the store has a fresh new feel - great ice cream, great customer service.
