Do not go to this jeweler!!!!!! Do not go to this jeweler!!!! Sometime in February, I left a ring at Lord & Hunt to be sized. I was told the ring would have to be out-sourced and it would take a week. The sizing would cost $125. I thought that price was very high but this jeweler is very close to my house. After a few weeks, I checked in on Lord & Hunt to determine the status of the sizing. I was told it would take a few more days and that I would get a call. A week later I stopped by again and was told the ring was in the mail on its way to Lord & Hunt. Another week later, I was told the ring would arrive any day. A week after that I was told the ring had to be returned because the sizing was poorly done. A week later a received a call from the owner who said that the ring had to be sent to another jeweler for sizing and that no work had been done on the ring. I should have insisted on getting the ring back at the point but I was assured that I would get the ring back by the end of that week. Two weeks later in the beginning of April, I finally got the ring. I was charged the $125 with barely an apology. To add insult to injury, the shank which was very thin broke after wearing the ring once! I went back to Lord & Hunt, showed the ladies my broken ring and said that because it took so long to size the ring the first time, I wanted my money back. I was rudely told no way. They wanted me to leave my ring again to be repaired. I didnt get my money back. I am disputing the charge on my credit card. My ring in currently being repaired by another jeweler for $50. Again, the ladies who own this business ripped me off, lied to my face and damaged my ring. Its amazing that these ladies are still in business.

My fiancee purchased my engagement ring here. The diamond chipped about 3 weeks after we got engaged. We took it in and they laid the blame on me and said we had to pay to have the diamond re-cut. Little did I know that Lord & Hunt acquired this diamond from an estate. My fiancee wasnt quite sure what that meant, but he purchased the diamond anyway. For all I know, the diamond was pried off of some cold, dead hand and is 100 years old! No wonder it chipped! It was turned over to Lord & Hunt 4 weeks ago. The woman said it would take 2 to 3 weeks to have it re-cut and sent back. Last Friday, my fiancee called to see where they were in the process and they told him it was finished and shipped UPS ground and should arrive on Monday, or Tuesday at the latest. Tuesday came around, still no phone call, so I called them. The woman was rude on the phone and informed me that my fiancee had already called. Thats nice, so wheres the ring? Still not in! And they dont know when it will be in or if its even done yet!!! This is the worst customer service Ive ever experienced...if you can even call it service. I went to the Better Business Bureau and there has already been another complaint filed against Lord & Hunt. The stores website also claims it is a member of the BBB, and they arent!! These people lie and scam to get your money. Dont go there!!!

They did a deal with my company. they backed out and the cost difference was $50.00. They will not respond or pay the invoice. The are dishonest and cannot be trusted. I would certainly not buy a piece of jewelry from them if they dont even pay a $50.00 invoice.
