Avoid at all costs. They are rude, unprofessional and just plain stupid. I went into this store to check them out and see how they did business. I was issued a large check by my insurance company to replace my diamond ring and several other pieces that were stolen. Not having a local jeweler I decided to check out several without them knowing it. I took a cheap metal charm in and asked if it could be cast in silver. A younger guy named Mike asked me why I would want it in silver and not gold. He told me hes never had anything made in silver but that he would check and see if it could be done. Now even I know that if you have a metal piece a cast can probably be created and then poured in silver, gold or platinum depending on what you want. He apparently didnt know this because when I finally got ahold of him again the next week he told me..."yeah, I found out its easy because they just make a cast. It will only be $85 to do it in silver. Do you want a gold quote or should I have it done in silver?" I told him I would come and pick the piece up. He asked why I didnt want to go ahead and I explained... "you told me you would call me Monday. Monday and Tuesday both went by and here it is Wednesday and I am calling you" He told me that he only dropped it off Tuesday. I asked why he hadnt bothered to call me and let me know. He told me "its a ten dollar piece of crap, is it that big a deal?" I replied, "and that is why I am coming to pick it up". He told me he didnt have the piece and wouldnt be picking it up until the following Monday. I told him I would be in Monday evening. He told me I could come Wednesday because he didnt know when he would get it exactly and that they are closed on Tuesday. When I did go to pick it up there was an older man dressed in a suit. I asked if he was the owner. He responded yes and I asked if I could speak with him. I explained what happened and that his store had failed my test. I told him that I would find a store that cared about every job and treated customers with respect and professionalism. I turned to leave and Mike yelled after me "it is a $10 piece of crap!" The owner replied "thats why she wanted us to cast in something else". I asked the owner to please explain it to Mike and I continued out the door. Before I got to the front door, I heard, "shut up Mike, youre fired!" So while the owner seems to get it, I will also add that I visited the store three separate times. Each time there seemed to be a group of friends of the owners there, drinking wine and socializing. Granted it is the holiday season but what about professionalism?!..... on any level?

Best Jeweler in Chicagoland. The owner has more experience in the industry than anyone i have met. The owner is truly a great human, never a shadow of shady business which is so rampant in the diamond industry. Straight, honest and flawless work while they make you feel like part of the family.

The guys over at Imperial simply awesome. I needed to get my wifes engagement ring resized and have a couple small diamonds replaced and they had it finished the same day. They make custom mountings and are able to find almost anything you need.
