I had a very strange experience in this store on 11/20/15. I had entered with my son, looking for a toy for him. He spent some time playing with the trains in the back, and then we were looking at the toys. A woman (I am not sure whether employee or owner) approached us and showed us some cars, which I did decide to purchase. My son then began asking for a specific Thomas Train. I looked at it and noted that it was not the one that fit the tracks we have, as it was meant for the wooden tracks. I said no to my child and placed the train back on the shelf. He asked for it a few more times, and the woman handed it to him and said "I will get it for him." I looked at her strangely, and said "No, I said no to him," and she smiled and nodded and said "I will get it for him." At this point my son ripped the cardboard backing on the toy. She looked at me and shrugged and we went up to the counter to pay for the cars I did want to buy. She took the Thomas from my son and rang me up - I know I should have said something in the moment but I was so confused at having been undermined in front of my son, having a store employee hand him a toy and tell me she was going to buy it for him, and then being charged for it after Id said no, I just paid and got out of the store. We will never return to this store due to this bizarre interaction.

NEVER SHOP HERE!!! I do not write reviews so the fact that I am taking the time to write something shows how horrible my experience was. My in-laws bought a gift from Trendy Toys for my 12 month old. It was a cute dog house with stuffed dog. With in 24 hours of owning it the dog was coming apart at the seams and the stuffing was coming out. I watched my son play with this toy and he was nothing but gentle with it. I immediately brought it back to the store and the saleswomen was BEYOND rude. She said that she could not replace or return it. She said she remembered selling it the day before and that it was not ripped upon purchase. I told her that even if this was true, it indicates poor quality and again asked for a replacement. She outright blamed my child for being rough with it and said he likely tore it apart. She said "rules are rules" and turned her back on me and would no longer acknowledge my presence. I will NEVER shop here again and encourage you to do the same. Horrible customer service.

Trendy Toys is a cute little toy boutique tucked away near Janie & Jack on the Upper Level (accross from the movie theatre). I have to say I am so impressed by the lovely, personal service I received from the lady there (the owner, I assume?) that I had to find a place to rave about it. She took such care wrapping my gift for me and upon finding out I had a little girl gave me a toy to bring home to her (for free!). It was a small gesture but made me feel so special - they have a customer for life in me!

Only family and friends have rated this place highly. (Techno world is her husband!!!) This place has horrible return policy, very rude owner!! The owner of both trendy toys and techno world make their own return rules up depending on who you are, nothing is written on the receipts, its all guess work! Toys are all over priced! Dont waste your time!

The best part of my experience was meeting Albertina who was a beautiful mature woman that made sure I got exactly what I needed for one of my Christmas gifts. She is a gem and that store is very lucky to have her!

No refund! Be aware! Exchange only within 7 days are you kidding me!?! Never will shop there again, stuck now with clothes that dont fit baby. Desperately needs a change in policy!
