Ive been going to this location for over 2 years and the store employees are kind and helpful since I was a new dog owner when I first got my shih tzu. I buy all his needs here (food, treats, toys, combs, shampoos etc..) so we visit at least twice a month. We come here for grooming service (he has a lot of thick hair) as well and up until recently everything was going smoothly. We have only been to one other business for his grooming otherwise we loved Petco and we have payed a range of prices which I always have thought was reasonable since his hair can be very tough to work with. Recently though we came into Petco for his appointment, it had been raining outside and were greeted quite rudely by a groomer. She did not introduce herself to me or my dog just immediately started inspecting his genital area, tummy and paws (all were wet from the rain). This made my dog nervous since she was a stranger to him and she was in such a sensitive area. She claims that my dog bit her hard on the hand and that he growled at her (which I didnt hear). She abruptly refused service and walked away cradling her hand. Now I dont deny that my dog bit her but I highly doubt he broke skin there was no blood I couldnt even tell where he bit. The girl already grooming a dog (who I believe was our regular groomer) was as shocked as I was. My dog is so friendly and has never ever bit anyone hard enough to draw blood or with the intention of injury. Yes he nibbles when he is being handled roughly but has never nibbled a stranger, only myself when I have pulled too hard during combing. All in all this was a terrible experience for me and will no longer be taking my dog here if the groomer is going to be so rude and unfriendly to my dog. I wish I knew the name of the other groomer working there a younger one, she is not like the other and I wish we had met with her instead.

We go here specifically to buy the small cases of dog food for our "rescue" dog. The store is clean, bright and well-organized. Years ago, when we were looking for a new Groomer, we brought our dog to this location. Horrible experience. The Groomers lack experience at this store. Also, there is a high-turnover rate of Groomers, so you may end up getting a completely different groomer the next time around. Not cool. Needless to say, since our experience with grooming our dog, was very negative, we found a new groomer. THE POSITIVES: The products here are not as inexpensive as Pet Supplies Plus, but the store is willing to meet or match prices from other competitors. This is a plus if you are seeking to save a little bit of cash! There is ample free parking. The store is "hit or miss" in terms of Customer Service. I have been coming to this store for several years. Sometimes I walk around and around the store to find an employee to help me. Several times, I approached the front cashier employee to ask if someone can "help me" and experienced the eye-rolling "why are you bothering me" attitude. I have also encountered some friendly and helpful Associates. What I have noticed is that the more mature or older employees are willing to help and answer my questions, while the younger ones have an "entitlement" mentality. However, Customer Service is not the best at this particular store (location). They sell a variety of products (items) which I appreciate. I also like the variety of dog treats (from organic or natural products to the not so healthy goodies). My 3-star review is based on the lack of Customer Service availability.

STAY AWAY FROM ANY CHAIN STORES THAT SELLS PETS!!! I have bought two ferrets from this store and they both had ear mites and bacterial infections. My seven month old ferret got a prolapsed rectum from being so sick and the vet told us that he most likely came like that from the store.The 2 month old that we bought also had some sort of bacteria in his intestines that was preventing him from gaining weight, he was all bones when we got him. I will never again buy a pet or shop for pet supplies at Petco or other chain store. I have read articles from PETA that say to stay away from such stores because the breeders that they deal with, have their animals in horrible conditions, this has proved it. PLEASE PLEASE CONSIDER ADOPTION AND BUY PET SUPPLIES ONLINE WAY CHEAPER TOO, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

The store and the customer service is usually great there, the problem I always seem to have is with the grooming department. Ive had my dog groomed once at this location and he turned out great. Having to actually speak with any employee there to schedule an appointment is horrible. They are rude and seem unwilling to want to help you set up an appointment. At the end of my conversations Im always left feeling bothered and dissatisfied. I have called on 4 separate occasions and have had my dog groomed only once there. I had to switch to this location unwillingly and now feel I may have to switch again.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. The lady took my dog into the back to get groomed after her vaccinations was confirmed up to date, we left and came back, then she said they didnt groom her nails because she needs the booster vaccine. Just tell me no before you take her. Such a waste of time. Her rude behavior and lack of professionalism doesnt help my mood either.

Good experience as always, the staff always seem eager to help and the animals love this place. We were in the store this last weekend and ran into a rep for Blue. His name was rene and he was extremely knowledgeable and helped us pick out some new puppy food for our newly adopted pet. Great experience and knowledgeable staff.

Great get most of my pet supplies from here but the employees most of the time dont know what they are talking about. I would ask the employees if the hamsters are nice but they say they dont know. I got some hamsters from PetSmart once and they seem to know how the animals act as i can tell they play with the animals.

Great help. All their animals are well kept. I know there are many petcos that arnt good but this one is definitely a place to get a nice healthy pet. Jus got a ball python about 5 days ago. Hes great

This store was suppose to be open until 9pm on Christmas Eve according to the website. Luckily, Kmart has cheap chew toys like the Adam Levine collection.
