We had this store special-order two Dumbo rats for us; the rats were picked up on a Sunday and Ruby, the little albino Dumbo, passed away during Wednesday night. When I called in tears to let them know that she had passed away they said if we wanted a refund or replacement we would need to provide the receipt (these were the ONLY special order Dumbo rats they had in the store at the time) and if we could not provide the receipt we should put Ruby in the FREEZER and bring her in when the replacement rats arrived - NEXT WEEK. I dont think we will be getting another pet of any sort from this store, Im not sure I even want to bother with a refund because I am so upset not only over our little furbabys death but at the utter disregard for my feelings when I called to let them know about it. ***UPDATE*** We were given a refund for Ruby as we found our receipt. Today, two weeks after we purchased our little darlings Rubys littermate, Zelda (my daughter is obsessed with the Zelda games), died, absolutely breaking my daughters heart. I called the store to let them know and that they should let their supplier know I was told that when they had had trouble with the supplier in the past they had not been very responsive. They did not offer a refund this time, just a "were sorry for your loss" that sounded just a little too perky. I would VERY strongly recommend making your purchases elsewhere or using caution with the purchases you do make. This store offers no recourse if pets die shortly after purchase and every one of the people with whom I have spoken at the store seems to lack the understanding that pets are, for many people, true members of the family and that if anything happens to them we as pet parents have the right to be distraught.

Every time I have gone to this store to purchase a large bag of dog food, I have to wait an absurd amount of time for someone to help carry it out to my car (I have back problems and usually have my young child with me to carry), meanwhile employees are joking around and walking by while Im standing there waiting for 10 minutes. At one point I said "f this" and carried both my child and the large bag and an employee chased me down when I was already halfway to my car and offered to help. At that point I had stood at the counter waiting for literally 15 minutes, no exaggeration. Unfortunately there are times I am forced to shop here when my vets office is closed, like this weekend, because they are the only other ones in a decent driving distance that sell my dogs food. But I only go there when I absolutely have to because their customer service is pathetic. Its unfortunate because I really respected the owners for coming to the aid of the service dog who needed a lot of vet care and they paid either all or a significant portion of the bill. That means a lot to me, but its not enough to overcome awful service.

We have been taking our three dogs to this pet store ever since it opened to take our baths. However, the past visits have been horrific. Today, we were given three thread bare towels, one containing dried on paint stains, and sent to the back where not only did the tub drain poorly, but there was absolutely no hot water. The two sale associates who tried to assist us were told by someone else that the hot water had been broken for a while. So we had to pay full price and watch our arthritic dog suffer through a frigid bath. We are definitely looking for a new place to take our pets; management seems to not be concerned about maintaining their facilities or keeping their customers.

Horrible experience at this store. I found a good price on a critter cage at a pet supplies plus store in another city. So I spoke with the manager on the phone and she assured me that they could match the price of the other store. So I made the 40 minute trip to the store (my lunch break from my 16 hour shift) and spoke to the same manager at checkout that I spoke with on the phone. She said that she could not match the price because blah blah blah. THATS WHY I CALLED BEFORE I WENT TO THE STORE. I wish i could have got the blah blah blah on the phone instead of a lie.

I shop here only when I have to- for cat furniture, drinking and kibble dispensers, and flea - tick drops on sale. Their food is outrageously overpriced, unless they get a wild hair and run some sort of sale that brings them down to almost grocery store prices. The staff is very helpful, in terms of helping you find things, and loading your car. I am glad they hold adoption fairs regularly, and when they were the only game in town, I was pleased to have them a mile and a half away. But oy, with the prices, already!

The only problem I have with this place is that no one seems to know what I small feeder rat looks like. I would come by about every week to pick up a small live feeder rat for my ball python. (I have tried to get him to eat f/t, but he refuses anything thats not still breathing.) The past several times I have come to pet supplies plus they have given me a very obviously medium sized rat. I would understand if there was a mix up every once and a while, but this has been a pretty consistent mistake.

I was trying to find a place in Athens that I could find a Betta fish and fish supplies. I came to Pet Supplies Plus and I was very pleased. The staff was very nice and OVERLY helpful! I was helped by a staff member named, Kayla, and it was like she knew everything about maintaining a fish! The prices were very reasonable and I came out very happy! Now I have a new addition to the family, Kirby! Thanks so much Pet Supplies Plus, I will be returning!

They have pretty much everything you could need. I found a hood for a 29 gallon that Ive been looking for. They also have an excellent selection of fish, healthy reptiles, beautiful betta fish, and probably the biggest selection of pet food I could possibly find. Also anything they dont have, they may be able to order in for you. The staff is really friendly and helpful, so all around I would definitely recommend it.

I absolutely love this place. Not only is the staff always super helpful and welcoming to my dog & I, they have a great self service dog wash area and their prices are great. They also found a pair of expensive sunglasses I left in the store and didnt miss until the next day and held them there for me to retrieve. That means so much.

The only pet shop I go to. This is the only store that sells holistic dog foods like Arcana and my most preferred brand: Orijen. The prices are reasonable as I dont trust getting foods online, risk of fraud and harmful additives. Cant say anything about the toys or other products for other types of animals.

Their walk-up dog self-wash station is stocked with shampoo and conditioner, and at $13 for both dogs, its a steal. Our huskies really despise baths, and it was nice to not have to clean up the mess after washing two very rowdy, water-fearing baby girls.
