PUPPY -DIED- AT SEVERAL WEEKS OLD DUE TO CONGENITAL DISORDER AT BIRTH THAT SHUT DOWN HIS ORGANS! VET SAID HE WAS SIGNIFICANTLY YOUNGER THAN THE 8 WEEKS THAT WAS NOTED ON PAPER AND SHOULDNT HAVE EVEN BEEN AWAY FROM HIS MOTHER! STORE WILL NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY OR REFUND (paid almost $1000)! Never ever ever get a dog from here!! Ive had many friends whose puppies came home with parasites or kennel cough, with no forewarning of these possible conditions, only promises that they were healthy and came from good breeders! But this is by far the very worst case Ive come across and its absolutely disgusting how they treated the situation as if you bought a product and not a family member. Not the owner, but close (but uneducated) friend brought the pup home. Was very timid and wasnt running around. They thought puppy was just shy, but turned out to be lethargic and weak the first night and didnt even last two weeks, even with a couple vet visits. Planning to look over and investigate the bloodline papers before SUING this place for not only ripping off uneducated owners, but BREAKING and SCARRING them for life. REMEMBER IF A PLACE DOES NOT PROVIDE CONTACT INFORMATION AND PICTURES/VIDEO OF THEIR ORIGINAL HOME- DO NOT BUY! IF A PLACE REFUSES TO TAKE BACK THEIR PUPPIES OR GIVE A REFUND- DO NOT BUY, THEY ARE MILL DOGS! THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT MONEY! [A little cheat, try the "grass test": if the puppy is nervous or scared of being outside or seeing grass, that means its the VERY first time they have ever seen the stuff and were raised in cages, never taken out except playtime with visitors]

3 weeks ago I purchased a goldendoodle puppy from happiness pets. When you purchase the puppy they give you a bill of health from a recent vet check. Please dont wait the week like they tell you for a check up. Take the dog right away and have the VET do a full check! My puppy who had a clean bill of health just 4 days prior to me buying her, had ear mites with an ear infection, a bladder infection, stomach bacteria and an upper respiratory infection. While trying to potty train a puppy is difficult enough now i have to add 5 different medications twice a day on top of it. Happiness is pets does cover the vet bills if you go to one of their recommended animal hospitals. And every pet needs a home, and they have a variety of puppies just please make sure you take them in that day to the vet if you can! it will be better all around for you and the puppy

I have always wanted to buy a puppy and one day my mom encouraged me to come look. My first thought was happiness is pets because they have such beautiful puppies. Anyhow I went in on August 23rd and spent a total of $1200 on a puppy and crate setup. Took him in for his free 7-day vet check everything looked great. Approximately 33days after purchasing Sept 26th my puppy got sick took him to the vet after $1300 in bills I was told my babe has a liver shunt he was born with. Needless to say he has to have surgery and now I cant get insurance. How can you sell a 3mon old sick dog! I refuse to believe he showed no symptoms before that day. Not to mention Im now out $2500 and all they want to compensate me for is $300 because the dog cost $750 yet wont give me half of dumb ass chip and "misc" fees on him. This is a horrible place DONT BUY YOUR DOG HERE!!!!!!

I am very upset at the moment. We purchased our Cocker Spaniel 9 days ago. We took him in 2 days ago for his first free checkup. We got a call today that he has Giardia and Coccidia. After finding out what these parasites are I am very disturbed as it can be contagious to us also and is not always easy to detect. Our contract says that Coccidia isnt covered and could come to us with that or Kennel Cough and not their responsibility. I believe now it had to of come home with the dog originally. I am waiting for a manager to call me back but I fear I wont get anywhere after reading your posts. I had no idea this was puppy mills as we saw the name of our breeder and everything. We also are waiting on our papers for the dog too. As cute as these puppies are I will never go back. They are just as expensive as buying one from the breeder anyway.

I worked here for 2 weeks. Enough to get one paycheck. In those 2 weeks I cleaned diarrhea out of every single dog cage every single morning. When Tuesday rolled around a huge semi pulled up in the back filled with cages of puppies. All sad poor looking puppies. I went to the bathroom and cried because I thought this was some happy place where I could help and play with puppies, but instead it was a bunch of poor little sick puppy mill puppies. Then after a week there they asked me to take this little tiny baby puppy to their vet because they "didnt want it to die in the store" these people are terrible people. This place is a sad and terrible place. They support horrible puppy mills and 80% of their pups are sick and dying. It is a very VERY depressing place behind the scenes. Please stop supporting it. These poor pups need help.

I dont like the fact that that these dogs are from puppy mills, but I feel that they need homes also and we are glad we could provide a good and loving home for our puppy. We had a decent experience there, however we were told the dog came with papers and we would get them in the mail. We got a form we had to send in and pay if we wanted papers! I called and complained that we were told we would get papers and for the prices people pay for those dogs it would be ridiculous to think they wouldnt come with papers! The girl laughingly said "sorry!" And could care less. We dont need the papers anyway but they should certainly be included for the price! Very disappointed.

I wish I had research this before I bought and fell in love with my puppy! They told me I was purchasing a puppy from a good breeder. That it would have papers. It was sick with kennel cough and I found out over a month later when I finally recieved the paperwork that it was ACA not AKC. Still I love my puppy however, I paid $700 for a puppy that wasnt even registered. They tricked me and decieved me for my money. Not to mention I found something out on the internet......she is from a puppy mill. I FEEL CHEATED, LIED TOO, AND ITS SICK WHAT THEY ARE DOING TO MAKE MONEY!

They use Faithful Friends Kennels in Bedford Iowa. The AKC gave them a 10 year suspension in 03 for deplorable conditions. I found this in a simple Google search. Also theres a list of other stores that purchased from Faithful, and a report of various diseases and infections that their dogs had. Happiness buys from puppy millers of the worst kind. Would you trust any paper work that said Pure-Bred from a kennel like this ? If you want a pure bred, go to a dog show and talk to an owner, otherwise try a rescue organization. Please, stay away from pet stores.
