I go here with my sister all the time and we love it here! We always try to budget ourselves, but usually end up spending upwards of 80 dollars (and thats not because of the prices, thats because we love the high-quality, organized notebooks and adorable mechanical pencils... They sell B lead, which is softer than HB and allows me to write effortlessly as opposed to stabbing the paper with HB lead). The two people that work at the store are very nice to us. They always tell you the best tips for writing with the pens (some wont work if placed at a 45 degree angle to the paper, etc.), and they teach us the different ways to use the hair accessories. Yes, they do have much more than just school supplies! Overall, its one of my favorite stores and I really recommend checking it out.

Fancy Pencil Land is one of my favorite stores because of the owner. Hes the kindest and most generous store owner Ive ever met. On my first visit, he gave me a free pen (a good one, too!) and on returning visits, he has recognized me and given me discounts and additional pens for being a return customer. Hes so helpful and enthusiastic. He knows the price of any item just by looking at it, and when youve made your selection he tells you the details of the product and why youve made a good choice. I will say, you should bring cash or Visa/MasterCard. I think he does take Discover (no idea about AmEx) but he always prefers and asks for Visa or MasterCard. Im guessing Discover might have higher merchant fees.

This place isnt very big but they have a great selection of Sanrio stationery, pens, pencils, and hair accessories. I spent so much time in there yesterday. What a fun time. The store keeper was great with gift suggestions. he knows his stock well. Will be here again soon for gifts and just fun notebooks.

Best place if you love kpop items, cute pencils, cute pens, pencil cases, and notebooks :) The man I met was very nice and helpful when I was trying to find lead refills for my pencils. I would absolutely recommend coming here to anyone! Its a fun store to visit whenever you come to Hmart.

My daughter and I really like this place! The owners are super nice, and it has a great selection of really cute stuffed animals, k-pop merchandise, albums, and cute pencils/stationary. We love k-pop and it is so nice to find a place in Chicago that actually sells really cute stuff!

The owner was very friendly and was happy to keep the shop open a few minutes late for us to continue shopping. He talked with us a lot and helped us out. I live 4 hours away but will definately stop by again in the future.
