SPP has expanded their offerings with their new retail store in the heart of Logan Square. They still do a great job at handmade letterpress items, primarily greeting cards, but also wedding invitations, posters, coasters, etc. They also design custom coffee mugs, shot glasses, really cool gift wrapping paper, custom stamps, and more. But with the new retail store they now carry stuff not made by SPP - tons of fun, hip, and unusual gift items for all ages. Lots of witty and edgy cards, ninja blocks for young children, brass pineapple cups for adult drinks, funky socks for all ages. Its kinda like other gift and stationary shops, but has more fun, unusual, and nicer items. I highly recommend it !!

LION IN THE SUN IS GREAT! I just picked up my wedding invitations here and they are incredible. Mel and the entire staff are very sweet and were incredibly patient with us since we decided to take part in the design process and there was a lot of back and forth. I trusted them completely and they really listened to what we wanted. I could not be happier with these invitations and would recommend Lion in the Sun to anyone!

This is my favorite place in Chicago to find super fun gifts and cards. The selection is well curated and you will definitely find things you cant find elsewhere. The price points are great with a nice range. They also do custom invitations and stationery- really great designs and high quality. If you cant make it to Chicago, check out their website!

Nice spot for cards, small gifts, and custom invitations. They have a good deal on their own cards, with small discounts for any count four and up. Im a frequent card giver - I bought a few for my stash. Their specialty seems to be fun phrases and simple prints, with a nice selection.

I have ordered products from here online (Ive never had the pleasure to visit the store). Both the custom stationary and the pre-made stationary are high quality and worth every dime. It makes me wish I were a better correspondent and wrote more letters/ sent more cards.
