My fiancée and I were looking for a new mattress to replace our old one and we had already bought our living room set from Ashley and really enjoyed that purchase and the experience. It was Black Friday so we thought we would get a better deal as opposed to a regular day. We were immediately assisted by a pleasant gentleman named David who was just having us try out a few of the mattresses to find out what we liked. Within about five minutes of trying out a few of the higher priced mattresses a big fellow in a black suit came up to us and pushed David out of the picture. He introduced himself as Al and that he had been selling mattresses for 12 years and that David had no idea what he was doing. Al immediately put us on one of their top tier beds, the temperpedic breeze, which to say the least was amazing and a huge difference in quality from what we had. But we walked in with a budget of 4 thousand and we wanted to get the entire bedroom set and not just the mattress. Al was extremely pushy, eventually making this purchase a nightmare by trying to get more credit and running mine as well to up our total that we could spend in the store- when we were told that 4K was the most we could get he said let me draw up the paper work. Honestly we felt like we couldnt breathe and we werent able to accept anything less than his temperpedic; my fiancée and I figured he probably got paid more commission to sell a temperpedic. Regardless, we walked around, talked about it, and decided that we would take a different mattress brand because we wanted the full bedroom package- Al wasnt a fan to hear this and sat down on one of the beds and gave us a long winded rant about how the other mattresses packed in comparison, again overselling and not letting us make up our own mind so while he was running "numbers with his manager" I started to look at different brands which were two thousand less than what we were being shown. Once he came back after "working us a great deal" said we would still need to pay out of pocket for the temperpedic, so I showed him the mattresses that were in our price range for what we wanted. He practically turned his nose up at us and talked down to us like we didnt know what we were talking about and what we liked. So eventually my fiancée and I had had enough of his smug and pushy attitude, so we told him that we came here with a need for something and we werent getting it. We were getting a pushy salesman trying to force feed us a high end temperpedic mattress and nothing else. He didnt care about what we wanted so I told him what we wanted again and that we wouldnt budge. So he goes back "working on a better deal for us", this is two hours in, my nerves are shot and my fiancée is over the process, he comes back says we can do everything for 3800. We agree and leave feeling beaten up and put through the ringer. By the way he kept mentioning what a great deal he got us, how much money he saved us...he tossed in some adjustable thing to make the mattress rise and fall, cool feature but at the price of about 800 extra dollars, and he kept saying about how if we took anything off the price that it would be more expensive- so he lied to us and guilted us into keeping it because even after we signed the paperwork he was like I hope you know how much I was able to save you on this. Here is the breakdown: Mattress + box spring + liner =2000 Bedroom set = 1299 with a 250 discount off the mattress. This puts it right around 3300 with no tax. So with the discount it wouldve been 3050 plus taxes- and that wouldve been sticker price... We couldve gotten it out the door with taxes for 3k. As we are driving home, we start to talk about the expense and how our wedding is coming up and how we can just take some of the wedding gift to purchase a new bedroom set at that point and that we didnt need the extra expense at this point, so I called Al the next day to cancel, I explain that we got a chance to speak about it and we decided to cancel. He is extremely short with me and tries to guilt me again. Terrible CS

They need to honor their words. To make the sale, they promise things but fail to meet them. I just moved in to the Naperville area and needed the Bed ASAP. Before paying the full money, I waited extra time to make sure they check their Inventory and commit to meeting the delivery date as I had a short window and they confirmed that it will be done. But very next day i get a call that they cant do it and Ill have to compromise and replace the box spring with a different brand. I agreed as I had paid the money and didnt have time to do it all over again. The bed came finally on agreed date but guess what, with a defective foot board. So eventually i ended up with a compromise on box springs (that i didnt like) and didnt get the bed as promised. When i asked them to replace the box springs as the delivery was delayed anyways now due to their manufacturing defect, i get to hear rudely that they accommodated me and I agreed to replacement so they cant replace anything even though I didnt even open Box Springs as bed wasnt complete. For God Sake, delivery date was the only criteria I had from beginning and I paid full money so cant understand where and how they accommodated me. I went to other stores in the Area as well and they either promised and delivered timely without any defects or didnt promise. I liked Ashley products in the past so I went to their store when i relocated but after this experience, I know where NOT to buy my remaining furniture from.

I was told yesterday that the couch I ordered would definitely be there the next day. This is the only reason I bought it. I arranged with my work to take off before I ordered it (impossible to do) to be here when it arrived. Now get a text my order will be here 4 days from now. Called store in Naperville where I bought it to ask why. I thought it was because something had been back ordered for some reason. Nope. Said that it is not on the truck and itll be here later. I told them the only reason I bought it was because I could get it today. Did not get a response. It was "I dont know what to tell you sir". Asked for a "manager". Got Monica Diaz and explained the issue. She said the couch should be there tomorrow. I said they had burned all credibility with me at this point and was she sure it would be. The person who sold it also told me it will be here today. Monica then blew up at me. Professional. Really professional. She didnt give any real apologies or anything. Ashley in Naperville, if you read this perhaps Monica needs downgraded from management level until she is taught a more professional way to handle customers over the phone. Also heres a thought, if you mess up someones purchase compensate those customers. I just moved to the area, and I have a few more pieces of furniture I need to buy. Unfortunately due to this experience, it wont be from you. Sorry.
