I ordered a couch from hometown furniture. About a month later I called to check on the status of the couch. After several phone calls, and getting an answer of “I don’t know when the couch will be in” I request he give me the number to lazy boy furniture so I could find out when it was coming. Lazy boy was happy to give me the information he refused to give me. The next day hometown furniture called me and told me they canceled my ordered as they could refuse service to anyone. So after waiting over a month for a couch and putting $1,000.00 down payment for a $2,000.00 couch, I now had to go to another store to order the couch. I am appalled at how rude, condescending, unhelpful and arrogant the sales person was. Also, shocked that any furniture would cancel someone’s order without their permission. I will never shop with them again. Lazy boy was able to order me the same couch, for the same price, and could deliver the next day. Hometown was a HUGE disappointment!

I just recently stumbled onto this local furniture store here in town. I was overly amazed that they carry such an array of brand named pieces at such low prices. I eventually made a decision and picked out a few pieces for our new addition to our home. The people there are really relaxed yet helpful. A huge contrast to the big box store with the barely knowledgeable commission chasing sales people that seem to only want to have anything to do with you if they feel you are a SALE.. Once our furniture was delivered to our home, we noticed there was minor damage to one of the sofas. I called the store and instead of being pushed aside or given some other number to call, they jumped right in and within a week we had our sofa repaired without headache & worry. I will surely be recommending Hometown to all my friends & family. Im positive we will be back when we start on our family room makeover.

We came here from Florida was in need of furniture right away, my friend refered me here, had a great experience NO high pressure sales people, got my furniture as promised in 1 week, only thing unhappy with got a bill before I even got the furniture very weird!!!!!! The delivery/installers guys where very friendly , outgoing, and very hard workers. Great job guys and thank you very much again.......... On my next purchase I promise to have more cash on me for a tip....

Shopped recently at a sale they were having. TV Stand, coffee table, two end tables. When delivered they forgot one end table, the coffee table was used, damaged, filthy and they made huge mess assembling the TV Stand. TV stand had parts not lined up right. Doors would not close, dragging on the shelf below it. Just looked horrible. The only positive is that my refund check cleared within 24 hours.

Some kids dropped off the couch and sliced the bottom of it open while in a big hurry to unpack it. Its a sectional couch they put together, about a year after two of the pieces fell into place while my friend was sitting in it ao it obviously wasnt put together properly. Just buy your couch online for cheaper without sales tax and unpack it with someone you know, your better off.

The folks who run this place are extremely friendly and understanding and they do their best to find you the absolute best price relative to any other major store in the Chicago area. At the end of the day youre not going to find a better price at any other store. If they can find it, they will get it for you and it will be at the best price possible
