my husband and i purchased 2 chairs to go with our new dining room set. We were told we could pick it up or have it delivered. We chose to pick it up and save a few bucks. Big mistake. We went to the warehouse and waited for an hour and half. You cannot call ahead of time to say that you are coming to pick up. You have to be present to be on the wait list. There were people there waiting for 3 hours. We finally got the chairs and were all set to start putting them together. We realized that one of the chairs had an unattached hem and had a split in the wood. I called to have one chair replaced. They gave me two options. Wait 2 weeks to have pieces of the chair shipped to the house or go back to the warehouse to pick it up. Those were not options I liked. (I was speaking to corporate on the phone) I asked them if i could have the chair shipped to the store. They told me only if the store accepts it. I had to call the store I originally purchased it from to ask for permission. I called the store and the manager told me that he would have the chair shipped to the store and even set up for me in a week. I called the day of to make sure everything was settled. I was told it was not. The chair was not there BUT i could take a chair from the floor. I bought a brand new chair not a used one. So over all I returned both chairs and got a full refund. How embarrassing. If you do buy furniture from them do not go for pick up. It is a waste of time. Who would of thought two chairs would of been this much effort.

I recently purchased a living room reclining sofa set package. The reclining sofa is not perfect but good enough and in acceptable condition. Thats OK. What I dont like is the accent table group that come with the package. 1) At delivery, I had reminded the moving guys TWICE, NOT TO PUT THE SOFA TOO CLOSE TO THE WALL because I dont want to cause any damage/color to my white wall, as those are reclining sofas. They said OK but still put too close to the wall and made a dark spot on the wall behind the sofa (even before I test the sofa) at the end. OMG ! Lucky I I had some remaining paint to cover up the super ugly dark spot. 2) Also, at delivery, the pair of table lamps that supposed to come with the furniture package, still not received until now (after 2 weeks). 3) When delivered, the tables had missing suction cups, so the glass top wouldnt stick on the table frame and flimsy. Hubby and I had made a request to the store and told that the replacement suction cups will be sent by mail at a later date. Alright, when we received the replacement suction cups and unfortunately we found that the replacement suction cups are not the right size. Sigh~ If dont mind the unbelievably poor service, then ASHLEY FURNITURE STORE is your choice. Im so glad that I didnt buy my queen size bed of memory form from them.

I went here intending to buy a couch but they made it very clear that they did not want my business by posting a "no legal firearms allowed" sign (target for criminals) on their front door. My concealed carry license proves that: I am a law abiding citizen. I have passed a background check. I have been through a minimum if 16 hours of training (much more in my case). I have no criminal history. I have no history of domestic violence. I have no history of drug abuse. My fingerprints are on file with the FBI. Can you say that about all your other customers? Why would you intentionally turn away customers? Why would you want to advertise that no one inside has the tools required to properly defend themselves? Do you realize that, if I werent a law abiding citizen, there is absolutely nothing stopping me from bringing a gun into your store? The sign does not physically stop anyone. Congratulations, youve lost a customer for the dumbest of reasons. If, however, you decide to remove the sign then let me know. I will remove this review and, if I havent already made my purchase elsewhere, I will return. Until then I will be taking my money to a retailer that respects my right to defend myself and my loved ones.

Very Pushy Sales Staff! We were in the store recently looking for living room furniture and were (almost) chased away by the sales staff! The sales staff is too pushy and sabotaged our shopping experience to the point we couldnt for a moment browse with ease. I really happened to kind of like the furniture and the quality of the goods but the sales rep (Patti Molo) chased us thru the store always chattering away at how great everything I pass by was and how great my taste was as I walked around the store! She offered unsolicited advice to donate my furniture to a charity or the like to make room for the stuff she was so adamant on selling me that very minute! She also asked me to look for houses/apartments (as I said I might be thinking of moving sometime in the future) to suit the sectional I was impressed with. She was pressing very hard to somehow make a deal and get me to buy instantly despite me telling her in every way that I really like the store and very likely to buy from them, but to allow me some time and space so I can make my decision; It just left a bad taste for us and though Im still interested to buy @ Ashleys, this might not be the store Id be going back to.

Our sales person was very pleasant and upbeat. The check out was a pain and the people at the desk were not the most pleasant to work with. We are a tax exempt entity with the new tax certificate issued by the state of Illinois, and I was told that Ashley does not accept that new form. After several weeks trying to get answers with the CS department, I finally called the home office. After much investigation and going in circles with the home office, we were able to go back to the store and get the tax credited. I am glad that I took the time to rectify the situation for future tax exempt entities. The delivery men were just amazing! They had good attitudes, a great sense of humor and they worked hard to deliver the five pcs of furniture (four pcs had to be carried up a difficult stair case!). Sales lady and delivery crew get 5 stars! Check out people need to go to a CS seminar.

I do not even know where to begin. The Schaumburg, IL store has just been amazing. Cecilia made buying my table and chairs an enjoyable and fun experience. I had a little mishap that was my fault with a chair and the bench. My extended warranty denied my claim, I was devastated as I am still paying on it. Previous store manager Hesham, went above and beyond to help me. He was transferred to another store in the middle of handling the situation and new store manager Jennifer followed up for Hesham. Rodger Turner came out to my house to fix my furniture and it looks brand new. I could not be more thankful to all staff involved. The Schaumburg store and team is the definition of excellent customer service and appreciation. Because of these wonderful people, I will be a life long customer. Thank you Cecilia, Hesham, Jennifer, and Rodger!
