I just had an extremely unpleasant experience with one of your customer service employee at this Menards store. I do want to point out that this was just one individuals behavior. Everyone else was helpful and respectful. This incident was in the bath room section. We had picked out a shower door that we want to replace while we are retiling. We had picked the tiles as well, and we had asked the representative from the flooring division to print out the model we wanted. We asked the representative, Jose P. (apparently a Store Manager) in bath section about how we can get shower door delivered. He started this condescending voice about how we need to get it delivered the next day or he will sell to any one else who picks it up first. I understand that they cannot hold the door once bought, but this information can be conveyed respectfully especially since we were very respectful. Also, as a customer lacks information, it can be laid out as options rather than threaten us about how he has the right to do it. We let it go and started asking him questions about how best we can work this out and if he can also include our tiles in the order. He started talking about how the two sections are separate and how they all carry walkie talkies that they know how to use to summon others. We let that go as well. Our kid who was playing with their offer pamphlets had thrown bunch of them on the floor. He immediately pointed out all the pamphlets and asked us to start cleaning it. At this point, I asked him to calm down and asked for a store manager. He said "I am one of the store managers. Tell me who do you want me to call with a smile on his face." I am not going to deny at this point my wife and I lost it. I called him an "A$$ Hole" and my wife called him the worst representative ever (surprisingly he seemed to gladly accept it). We walked away and started talking to other representatives. We called and complained to another Store Manager, Kyle, about Joses behavior. We may still buy something from Menards. However, I am not sure how Menards could let such a person be a store manager. He was condescending from the moment he laid his eyes on us. It is possible he didnt like the color of our skin, or it is just the way he behaves with everyone. we were pretty much ready to buy close to $800 worth of material only to stopped by this person. It is very unfortunate that we had such an experience because the effort of four people who helped us before we ran into Jose P had gone to waste. I am going to regularly visit this store to check the status of this individual. If certain action is not taken against this person, I am going to start a website complaining about Menards in-store service.

The commercials slogan "save big money at Menards" is true. The new location since the move in 2015 is incredible. It is gigantic! Everything you need, competitively priced. You must come with walking shoes if you simply want to "look-around" to get ideas from the two floors of inventory or if you are walking across the HUGE lot to get to the lumber area. To find what you need, definitely ask where to go. I havent yet walked the entire store in one visit. On weekends the store has a person playing the piano which adds a very pleasant atmosphere. Lots of thought and details went into this store. Staff service may be spotty, sometimes I come across someone fantastic, other times the staff is inexperienced and react displeased. If you know what you want and need at a low price, this is the place for you. For a more detailed and educational help, go to ACE Hardware.

What unpleasant experience. Cashier Leonard was telling me to transfer all my 20 bags of soil from one cart to next just in case i placed additional 30 cent more bag of soil under $1.17 cost of soil. Then Manager cared less and the GM showed he did not wanted to be involved at all. From GM to rest is the worst unpleasant experience. After 17 years will never shop at Menards just for someone been so board made me upset over $6. She could of just walked over and scanned them all at least I assume that is her job instead she told me I am doing my job standing counting bags of soil been transferred from one card to next how fun this is. WOW really. Lady in store behind me walked out stead never again will I return cant even believe she made you do that.

Today when me and my wife were shopping at this store I moved one display lamp by mistake and was not able to put it back in its original place. My wife apologized to an employee whose name was Rob and asked him if he could assist me in putting it back. Instead of providing adequate customer service the employee by the name of Rob said with hostile attitude "why did you have to touch it" and asked us to leave the store!!! Me and my wife were stunned! We looked at each other and It took us a second to realize what he just said. I mean at one of the major stores like Menards to have such a hostile employee its absurd! I am 40 years old and this was the first time I encountered such rudeness towards customers for an honest mistake! We are still in shock!

Terrible staff at the counter where the rebate forms are. The stand there on the phone gabbing away with friends and then are rude when a customer says something, as though their social time on the phone is more important. Ive spent nearly 50 k at various Menards for my rental properties over the past 20 years. These front desk idiots should be fired and replaced by the more dedicated workers stocking shelves and helping people. People at the contractors desk are very professional, though. I agree with that.

Its a good place, with a seemingly endless amount of items, but customer service is hard to find and when you do find it, it can be severely lacking. I was once told by a plumbing associate that since they dont seem to sell what I needed, I simply couldnt complete the project I was working on and then proceeded to walk off. However, I appreciate that the store has an app for browsing and pricing of items--although it isnt great for finding exactly where an item is, it is a nice thing to have.

i wont even give one star if i had an option. Not a pleasant place to shop. Nobody wants to help you even if you ask for help they will point the direction where the product is and wont even go with you... Encountered a very rude employee recently and complained to management. I doubt very much anything was done to correct this persons behavior. Will not be returning. Dont need the type of treatment from anybody. Menards doesnt seem to care as reviews will show.

We came in with Pittsburgh paint sampler and EVEN THOUGH they do have Pittsburgh paints to color-match, they used Nautica paint instead, which was not an exact color match (different paint, just close). They make an absurd claim its an exact color match, but it cannot be, since its a different paint color base (from which they mix). If a customer brings in a Pittsburgh Paint sampler, use Pittsburgh paints!!!!!!!!!!
