I bought a car from the Joliet Illinois location 18 months ago. During the time I had the vehicle, I found that it had no airbags also, and they never told me that this was the case. The breaks had a bad master cylinder and the short warantee they have does not cover brakes in any way. So that cost me over $250.00, I had to take it back several times as the brake like kept coming on. All on my dime. Then just last week I decided to buy a new vehicle, so I went to a dealership and was approved for a new car. I traded the vehicle that I had bought to them even though the payoff was still over $8000. My payments were due every two weeks. On Feb 17th, 2 weeks after I traded the vehicle I got a call from JD telling me that I still needed to make a payment as the pay off had not been received yet. When I told them I had traded the vehicle, they threatened to get the police and go an get the vehicle from the dealership even though I wasnt even late yet they threatened me and made me feel like I was trash. I want everyone to know that you DO NOT want to ever buy a car from any JD BYRider dealership anywhere. People who have credit issues are people too and need to be treated with respect and not talked to like they are less than human. I plan to make a complaint to the Attorney General about them as I do not understand how they can still be in business with the way they treat their customers. Run as fast as you can away from JD BYRider.

JD Byrider has great customer service and if you are breathing and have a job you are GOING TO walk out with a car. The bad things about it though is you better pay on time no time later or like I heard from others your good experience with turn into a bad experience REALLY fast the car broke down 2 times in the first 2 weeks on the same day that I paid (Imagine riding the bus on the same day you pay for a car). And there is NO rental cars. You have to have full coverage or they will take your car away. A few more pluses is that it was cheap to fix my car those two times and oil changes are cheaper with JD Byrider. If you get a car just setup auto-pay and you will be good as long as you keep your job. Keep in mind you have to pay EVERY TIME you get pay so if you get paid two times a month that is how many times you pay that is how mine is setup and I never had a problem with them the car has not broke down in a while I have been with them for 10 month I always paid on time and I have not had any problems with them besides my car breaking down and them not being able to provide any rentals because I am a model client but what ever lol. I hope this helps I would recommend them for anyone making at least $10 /hrly full time with a banking account or pay card to setup auto-pay. Thanks for reading!

If I could give no stars I would! Do not buy a car from here! I was told by multiple people not to buy from here but did anyways and I regret it. Tonight I woke up and my vehicle was missing. I called the police department and they said my car had been repoed. Now keep in mind I had automatic payment set up and more than enough money in my bank to cover my payment that was due Friday so today. So my payment was not taken out and at close they came and took my car. Not only did they repo my car for no god damn reason they also never fixed my gas gauge that I have now had their "mechanics" look at 3 times and all 3 times they "fixed" it but it was a defective part. Im sorry but 3 defective sensors? I dont think so.

Went in there when no one would approve me without having a cosigner and ended up getting a 2009 hyundai sonata as my first financed car. I had trouble all week getting my stuff together and my salesperson Kenny Chatman was more than accommodating and hospitable. He worked hard to make sure I left with a car I could afford and they even took my 2002 ford taurus that wasnt even working for a trade in and helped me tow it up to them to get it out of my driveway so I could have room for my new car. Angie the manager is also the nicest person and helped alot in explaining everything to me I would definitely come back and send more people just make sure you tell them jasmine Anderson sent you so I can get my 250.00

I bought a vehicle from JD Byrider /Downers Grove in March 2010. At the time Ii was impressed with the 12 month/ 24,000 mile warranty which stated they would repair any car problems. I found myself at the dealership for repairs pretty much on a monthly basis. The 1st time my car was over heated I was not upset because i knew they would repair it .When I picked up my car and before I could get home it was overheating again. They apologized and fixed it so I thought. As soon as my warranty expired guess who had to pay for a new radiator and thermost for the same things they said they had replaced . I would not advice anyone to purchase a vehicle from them !!!!

So I bought a vehicle from JD Byrider in Joliet first car was a 2008 Pontiac G6 within 36 Days the engine gave out seized up next they proceeded to give me a 2006 Chevrolet Impala every time the car had a problem even under warranty they would charge for parts labor and an inspection fee I Surrender the vehicle because they could not comply with anything that I had asked them yes they did tell me to come in but they wanted to charge me I am not going to pay for something that I told them prior to getting into the shop they also are trying to sue me for the rest of the payments in which I feel I should not have to pay for a car that is a lemon

Dont like anything about this company. Bought a car from them 11/2 ago and have had nothing but problems. Been to the shop more then I have driven it. Been to the shop for headgaskets twice. Within 4000 miles of eachother. Asked for something to be fixed when I bought it the first day. Still hasnt been fixed a year and a half later. Every time I take it in to them they give me a bunch of crap. Mind you I am a mechanic and certified in 4 different areas. But they still insist that Im wrong. They havent proved me wrong yet. I will never recommend this company to anyone.

Quick painless buying experience Angie was amazing. The service department is a joke though. Noticed a few problems with our car before purchase they wrote it up and agreed to fix it. Was told they couldnt recreate the problem in the shop. My husband then took the tech for a ride to show him the problem. When it happened the mechanic just waved his hand and said ehh if it breaks it should be covered. Dont let the shop BS you!!! If you pay for the warranty use it! But make sure you have a REAL mechanic to properly diagnose your issue first so its repaired properly!!!
