This store sells many items that Buyer should be aware. They sell broken electronics with missing cords. My husband bought several clock radios from them...several had broken tuners...others could not be set. Printers that had not been used so in order to use them, you would need new print heads and new ink...you might as well buy a new printer. They sell out dated VCRs with no HDMI. A small TV about the size of a large computer moniter with a missing power cable was also sold to my husband. How could they even know if it works...the cable to replace it was $75. Why would you buy a $75 cable without knowing if it worked. Those should be taken to Best Buy for recycle...no matter how good they might look on the surface. Also, They sold some electric metal power strips to my husband, which are not safe by todays standards. And, I think they have no business selling electronics. Other examples, of poor merchandise...steam cleaners with missing or broken parts. One even had a broken plastic water tank. It would cost more for the parts than to buy new ones.Battery operated phones with missing cables and/or bad batteries....worthless. Here again, the adapters would be half the price of a new phone, not to mention if the battery were also need of replacement. Those things should go to places like Cash Converters who have the ability to judge what is saleable...or just sent to Best Buy for recyle. They sold my husband a beer stein which had been glued back together in several places. Wings by comparison does not sell electronics. He had picked up some silver mugs that were filthy on the inside...they could not even be cleaned. This store has no scruples about what they sell. This is something that I found disgusting...they sold broken trophies from local sporting events. Parts were obviously broken, chipped, or missing. They ought to be reported to the BBB. Yes, you can watch what you but they ought to be more selective about what they sell. Not a good place to buy anything much. A lot of items would not even sell at a garage sale. In my opinion go to Wings or the Good Will Store.

Yes this is a thrift store and yes thrift stores should test the electronics but who has time for that when things are dropped off in truck loads or car loads. I use to work at the Community Thrift store in East Dundee they test most stuff and throw out half of the electronics donated people shouldnt donate broken items in the first place or clothes that smell like some one died in them but it happens and then these write it off on there taxes. YES Savers is a little more expensive then other thrift stores but they have a nice selection. They are way more organized you just have to pay attention to what you buy. They have a section of cheap cords for electronics and outlets to try them so if you buy something broken its your own fault. Savers also does have a return policy for some stuff so just pay attention.

Good Luck finding parking on the weekends or in the evenings, and after you do, you find out that this store prices all of its items about $2-$3 higher then the rest of the Savers. Rude managers. Also, if you need to return something, they only exchange things, which is fine, but if the new item is less, even by a few cents, this Savers will steal your money. All other locations give cash back if the difference is under a dollar, this one just keeps it.......Im extremely disappointed that this is the location that will remain open, at least for now.....

I donated to Savers and when people donate used items they would hope that the people resale the items at a decent price and to reach out to the people that is in need of these items the most to be able to purchase these items at a reasonable and affordable price. that was not the case as I proceeded threw the Savers thrift store. I notice the high prices, the most stupidest employees ever in life and have you forgotten that this is a resale store youre all jerks what are you running a circus and just hiring clowns?

Now that the Lake Zurich location is closed (which was the best in my opinion), this is probably the best savers in the NW area of the burbs (Naperville kicks rocks and the Arlington Heights one is just barely ok). Still, I noticed the price-gouging in this store.. Be ware... Unless its an almost new, name-brand item, you can get better deals at other places overall. At least they attempt to accept or collect better items than the other Savers Ive been to but they are starting to get JUNKY too :(

I dont know what is up with this particular location lately, but the prices have been absolutely ridiculous. I am not paying 24.99 for a pair of used boots. I frequent other locations pretty regularly, and none of their prices are as astronomical as these. Not sure if other reviewers just dont thrift a lot, but even for a popular name brand that is really high. That being said, they do have a good selection and are very organized. I will only purchase on half off days, though.

The place is well kept and organized and they do not sell broken stuff contrary to the other comments, I have bought a great record player along with other speakers in the past. The clothes are in great shape being used and obviously priced on how well used. If you are on a budget, this is the best place to buy clothes other than of course Goodwills .

Filthy! Broken & dirty items. Kids running & yelling in the store. Shelves empty of merchandise. Very disappointing. Get organized, staffed and clean. The Niles location is no better. This was a wonderful place to shop when they first opened. We wont be back.

I really like this Savers,. I dont live close by but every time I go to Chicago, I always go there and I usually manage to find some awesome deals. Toys or clothings are the best bets. Price is not dirt cheap but reasonable for the quality and condition.

I have found some really cool items here.. but its slowly breaking down. Prices have gone through the roof and the place can be a little disorganized. Theyll put a price tag on junk and expect to sell at a ridiculous price.

employees were simply lazy minded. I couldnt get a clear answer from the cashier for anything! He just didnt care to articulate, or find out what he didnt know. Not looking for department store servicing here folks but pep up!

Way over priced and very old stock. Clothes were worn out & asking 6.99 for a shirt. 5.99 for something that had an original tag from store saying cheaper. A little bit Leary there wondering who prices these things....

You have to respect the person who sets the prices- he has balls. Sometimes youll find good deals, but often items are closer to retail prices than youd expect from a resale shop

Good thrift store. Everytime I have gone I have found something for super cheap. On Mondays they do everything half price regardless of what it is or how new it is.
