On May 18th, 2017 I took my Z06 Corvette to this dealer for repairs and they BADLY scratched the front end and refused to repair the damage even though there were 3 of us standing there (with the service rep.) when it was pushed off their curb with a loud SCRAPE - WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD AT ANY DEALERSHIP ANYWHERE. BUYER BEWARE After the prior GM Steering Lock Recall bypass relay failed. I had recalls (No. 04006B) and (No. 04006C) done at another dealer several years ago and asked this dealer to replace the failed recall parts, which I had correctly diagnosed myself. The dealership told me the recall was no longer covered and quoted nearly $1,100 to repair the issue, stating that the steering column would need to be disassembled. I told them that the recall module was under the passenger floorboard and declined the work. When I came back to pick up my car, I was first surprised with a $160 diagnosis fee that I was told about after the fact (it was a night drop-off), but the bigger surprise was when I noticed the front of my car was on top of one of the dealerships parking curbs. Since the car wouldnt run, I had it towed to the dealer and back and the tow driver made sure to point out to me, the service representative and my girlfriend that the car was on the curb before we pushed it off because he was concerned that they might claim the tow truck caused the damage. I asked Tom Barton the service rep. what the dealer planned to do to repair the damage to my car and he gave me a business card and told me to call him later. I mentioned that I would ask the tow driver to write up what he saw in case they wouldnt fix it, and he also told me there was a camera in the dealer lot pointed right at my car and that he often sees problems there. I called the dealership several times and was finally told three weeks later that they wouldnt repair the car and the damage was from the tow truck. I asked the guy if he remembered there were THREE people standing there when we pushed it off the curb with a loud SCRAPE and if he was trying to be funny and that this is really bad business. In the end, I fixed the relay myself with a $40 aftermarket part with about 1 hour of work -1/4 of their "diagnosis" fee. I have also filed complaint with the Illinois Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau about this unscrupulous business. WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD AT ANY DEALERSHIP ANYWHERE. I had originally posted this when I purchased my car...."I have never stepped into a dealership before. I just came to see cars because I was curious of the prices, but then I found myself with Imen Kudos and he convinced me to get a new vehicle. He is a very funny and professional salesman. I couldnt be any happier with my new Chevy Cruze. I couldnt believe he has only been here for 5 months this guys seems like hes been doing this for years. He is the definition of great customer service. Thanks again Imen. I recommend him and this dealership even if you are just looking around. If I could give more stars I would." I came in for an oil change on March 28, 2017. They took about 3 hours to get everything done. They wanted to sell me an air filter for $59.95. I work with cars so I knew that was a huge rip off. I said no of course who would buy that for that price seriously?!? When they finished I noticed they had cleaned the outside of my car. When I got home I noticed my driver door had the paint chipped. I called the dealer and told them about it they told me to go in so they can check it out, which was very nice. But when I first purchased the car my sales man had sold a package deal to me, which he explained would keep my car looking the way it does now. He explained that if a button fell if it would be covered, if my car got scratched it would be covered and under my car would be covered as well. So when I called yesterday I told them that either way it would be covered since I have that package plan and not one person there knew what I was talking about no one knew about the package deal. That blew my mind how is it that you guys sell it there and not know what it covers?? I was transferred to so many people and not one person knew. Today I finally get a call back from their sales manager Mark and all he had to say about his salesman is that he lied to me and that scratch is not covered and that he could get it fixed at my own cost. That all he could do was penalize my salesman. Thanks for the lies advantage. I regret getting my car with them. I wouldnt recommend going there because they will most likely lie to you as well. Not to mention they ran my credit about 5 times. Done. No stars isnt an option so I guess they can get 1.

I purchased a vehicle from them recently. The whole process went well, and the people were polite. The major issue I had with them was the miscommunication and the lack thereof which has cost me extra money and stress. Because I purchased the vehicle on a Saturday afternoon, most banks, including my own, were closed. I informed the salesman that I had already started the loan process with my bank and that I would be going through them to finance. However, in order to get the ball rolling and get me my vehicle that day, they would begin a loan application with a separate loan company. The salesman informed me that they would give me a few days before submitting the other companys application so that I could get in contact with my bank. That Tuesday, I finalized the loan with my bank and had a check ready to go for the dealer. I called the salesman and finance guy; no answer so I leave a detailed message for both letting them know to hold off on the loan application and that I had a check for them from my bank. No call back from either guy that evening or the next day. Wednesday afternoon I go into the dealer to drop off the check, and the finance guy is on break. So, I talked to another finance guy, and he says he thinks the application has already been submitted, but hell take my name and number and have my finance guy call me when he gets back. No call. Thursday morning I call the finance guy. No answer again, and so I leave another message explaining I have a check for them from my bank. Seven hours later, I finally get a call back from the finance guy. He says they sent in the application already, but it isnt a big deal; that Ill just have to refinance. It is a big deal because now I have two loans out, both of which are acquiring interest everyday, and Ill again have to pay the $95 fee to get the title transferred over. Money that is being wasted for no reason because no one can communicate with each other or call customers back in a timely, professional manner. I wont be going back to Advantage Chevrolet of Hodgkins for anything, and I highly recommend everyone else take their business elsewhere as well.
