First of all, the sales and service staff at this dealership is fantastic. I have purchased two cars from them in the past several years and Alex, my sales consultant went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. This included showing up on his day off to deliver the car to me, answering any questions and even getting a balloon for my 2-year old. The sales manager, Karl was excellent as well. Very professional and courteous during the entire purchasing process. Since purchasing my first car with them last year I have also had the pleasure of dealing with their service department manager, Molly. She was great likewise, even saved me money with some coupons (and I didnt even have to ask). Why the 1 star review then? My last interaction at the dealer before driving off in my new Subaru was with the finance manager, Al Svita. He is a complete scum of a human being - rude, condescending and extremely unprofessional. The direct opposite of the rest of the wonderful staff of this dealership. I ended up leaving angry and completely irritated. He ruined the entire buying process. Mr. Muller, if you are reading this review and wondering how to improve the quality of your service and increase word-of-mouth marketing for your dealership, the answer is very simple - fire Al Svita. He needs to be kept away from any customer-facing job role and possibly from people in general. Otherwise, you will continue getting terrible reviews and losing sales.

My wife and I were ready to trade our Infiniti and downsize to a Subaru Forester. My wife took a trip to the dealer and was told the car we had inquired about was sold. She then had to negotiate the price of the one that was in stock and get them to honor the discount that they had offered for the one that had sold already. No issues at that point. When the dealer test drove our car thats when the usual shady dealer tactics came out, the low-ball offer. Oldest trick in the book. My wife told them that we had an amount in mind based on KBB value, but they kept interrogating her as to why she wanted so much. My wife told them the lowest she would take for our car and she was told they couldnt give her that because of the "tax savings". Obviously to a person that has a Masters degree that translates to "we think you are dumb". My wife decided to flee as soon as possible upon hearing that because thats a clear sign of unethical practices. The manager did offer good advice though. The manager told my wife to go to CarMax, which we had not realized that they also sell brand new cars. The manager must be getting a cut from Toyota because we ended up getting a Rav4 with a better interest rate and a higher trade-in amount. The dealer gets 2 starts for recommending CarMax to us, otherwise it would be 1 start for sticking to the old-fashioned sales tactics that only work on the older population and/or people with no internet access.

This is my second experience at this dealership and most definitely my last. Unfortunately, with both experiences, this dealership doesnt really care that much about your car. Others, for example, treat your car like it was their own so Ill be going back to those places now even if it is a much longer drive. This dealership also doesnt offer to accommodate you very well and I have had an argument with them because they refused to give me a loaner car even though that is guaranteed with my warranty. And now my A/C is out again with the exact same issue that I went to this place for just over a month ago. This place also has issues where even if you have an appointment, they will wait much longer to start working on your car and of course your car wont be ready when they tell you it will be. Even though this place is only 3 miles from me, Im definitely going to drive the 25 miles to a dealership where Ive had EXCELLENT service at. Its just disappointing that you cant be trusted. Guess thats why they say its so hard to find an honest mechanic because it really is after experiences at this dealership. Shame on you! Id expect you to treat my car like it was your own...

I purchased my 2008 Subaru from Muller Subaru this past January. I chose this dealership, because their sales staff seemed really genuine. I didnt feel sold. It was a natural experience as I could have asked for. This past September my car had engine problems. It happens. I didnt panic. I just got the car to them and waited. The Muller Staff took care of the entire problem. They went over the top to cover all the expenses. It was amazing! The car wasnt covered under the warranty any longer, but since I had only put 4000 miles they were compelled to step in. Why did they cover it anyway? "Good will." This is a family owned dealership that truly cares for its customers. I highly recommend them to anyone looking at Subarus. The car itself is amazing, but if something goes wrong, because youre treating it like a Subaru, its nice to know you will be treated with incredible service. I live in Chicago, but drive to Highland Park each time I need something. They are worth the drive, every time.

I had an appointment and visited MulIer and had really bad experience First of all no one was looking us for at least for 15 minutes, me and my wife was standing around. After a while a sales manager asked to wait and he will look for a representative He didnt even asked to take a seat or refreshments After 15 more minutes a representative was hurriedly came to us. I shortly told my requirements (still standing) to save his busy schedule He just took us out and showed a car with price tag. we asked for the specific color He replied coldly that Mylar doesnt has it and cannot provide till 6 weeks I can over all understand their schedule but we are also not buying cars every day the buying experience should be delightful We got little hurt that we were only Asian and got such a treatment, all other customers were catered nicely Ultimately my wife said she will not buy a car from mullar even if they are giving it free Period

My wife and I just bought an Outback, our first Subaru, and our experience at Muller could not have been better. Ben took care of us - we told him that we were already familiar with the car and all we wanted was to get a price on our trade-in... but Ben nicely offered to review key features of the car with us. Without being pushy, Ben proceeded to walk us around the Outback providing a wealth of information about the car and the company. Our sense was that he felt so strongly about his product that he had to share his knowledge, Sure, Ben was selling, but he did it with conviction and integrity. From that first visit, through the paperwork with the finance manager, to checking out our new car upon delivery, this was our best car buying experience ever (and weve had quite a few over the years, both good and bad). Thanks Ben, well refer friends and family without hesitation.

Ben did such a great job selling us an Outback I returned a few months later to buy a Legacy. Ben has the perfect combination of belief in whats hes selling, knowledge of what hes selling and willingness to listen to the customers needs. He makes his case strongly but is not annoying or pushy. I honestly cant think of how he could have done a better job. The man is a true expert in the mechanics of Subarus and has a gift for patiently and carefully explaining the features in simple language. I was texting and emailing with Ben often and he always responded quickly and with detailed answers to my questions. In the end I wanted a perfect balance of cost, fun-to-drive and safety. Ben helped me get exactly what I wanted from both my cars. My wife, daughter and I could not be happier. I recommend him, Karl and Muller Subaru.
