Its youre average Petco. The reason Im give a low rating is the staff I worked with were rather rude. I recently came here after getting a puppy to get puppy supplies and while the intentions may have been good, the approach two staff members had with me was pretty bad. Ive had dogs all my life so this was not my first rodeo. However, the way the employees talked to me was as if I had no idea what I was doing and not in a polite way either. Their tone and language gave the impression of "Youre dumb and clearly need help as a pet owner." They more or less micromanaging my shopping telling me what I needed to be doing with my pet when Ive had 4 good behaved dogs all raised and trained well. For the sake of just wanting to get my trip over with and not caring that much to converse with them about different training and raising techniques I just politely listened and moved on each time they approached me (3-4 times). Again, I get that they also have experience and work at a pet store and are a great resource for those seeking help, myself included sometimes! But the approach and way they address people was down right rude. So much so that I felt the need to do this review and will most likely do my pet shopping elsewhere.

We bought three small, neon fish from them last week. This morning, we woke up to find EVERYTHING, EXCEPT FOR THEIR THREE FISH, dead in our 50 gallon tank. We have had the same fish in the tank for about 3 years so I am certain their fish carried a disease abnd killed everything in our tank. We have to throw out our live plants and start from scratch. DO NOT BUY FISH FROM THEM! They, of course, would not replace our dead fish, and, to be honest, I would not accept any fish from their store. I am very disappointed in their customer service, quality of fish, and lack of compensation for our loss.

A surprisingly good selection of salt water fish. The store is really crowded, which is a plus. The associates are hard to find, which is a minus. The cleaning staff is a little strange - last time we were there, it was snowing, so we tracked wet snow through the store. The cleaner followed us around, sometimes blocking our way and making general disgruntled noises about his duties. It was a little weird. But theres lots of fish!

I just bought two little rats for pets, eight days ago at the Lemont and 75th Petco. One didnt seem to be doing well in the last few days. I came home today to find her convulsing on the cage floor. I called the store and they were unsympathetic and unhelpful. They said I could have another rat. She died a few minutes later. Everything about the whole situation was very disturbing.

The employees here are always friendly and the place is clean. Almost everything I buy from here falls apart or quits working shortly after purchase. Every fish tank decoration Ive bought at Petco has gotten bubbles under the paint and chipped off while in the tank. Ill only buy from this store if I dont have the time to go someplace farther away.

I have been shopping at this Petco for years. Prices are okay, but there are frequent sales and I tend to build up rewards quickly. Staff are friendly, although they are usually busy helping someone in the store when I am ready to check out. Lately there has been a bit of a smell.

Good pet store with a good selection. Some of the employees are awesome. A bit pricer for most things then online but sometimes its really helpful to check things out in person/animal. Return policy is great as well.

I take my dog here for grooming about 4-6 times per year and they always do a great job. The rest of the store is fine as well, but I have never purchased anything but food and treats.

No stars at all. Terrible job on grooming my dog. Looks like my dog was cut by 5 years old boy. It was her first cut, i hate it, very upset. Don t bring your dog for grooming there .

This store is always clean and well stocked with everything i need when i shop for my pets. Staff is very friendly and available if you have anything you need.
