A great gem for the neighborhood, but a bit out of the way to get to for those not residing close or living off of the blue line. I trekked down here on my bike on a nice day, and hit up the store as they were opening for the day. I know it can get busy at peak times, so it was great to be the only patron in the store. Their menu consists of a giant chalkboard on the right wall once you walk in where they have marked if items are in stock or not. It is a bit of an overload if youre not prepared with what you want exactly, so Id recommend taking a look at their website before coming in. They have a handful of unique items that arent listed on the website, but thats a general rule of thumb. I decided to stick to their handmade sausages, and I was impressed with their wide offering. They had a Louisiana Hot Sauce Pork Sausage to a Red Wine Beef Sausage, and a bunch of items in between, making it difficult to choose. The staff was helpful in their recommendations on how to cook and pair these items. Next to the register their offerings of rilettes and other meat items caught my eye, making a great addition to my selection of items to take home. This place is a bit pricey ($10/per pound of sausage), but the quality is top notch. You definitely get what you pay for!

I always buy meats here. I am coming all the way from the south side. They always provide various kinds of good quality meats as much as I want.
