Great neighborhood place and I hope its around for a long long time. I usually come 1-2 times a week to knock out work. The staff is extremely welcoming and its never too crowded. It feels much more local and laid-back than what youd expect at a Starbucks. Very friendly and bright and the specialty drinks are amazing. Very good food selection for both breakfast or sandwiches for lunch. Its also extremely kid-friendly with numerous puzzles and games (I believe they have story-time and other weekly events as well). I sometimes come with my 3yr old to grab a drink and hangout with her while she plays in the little kiddy corner.

This place is AWESOME. All of the vibe of a similar coffee shop in, say, Wicker Park or the now-trending Logan Square, without the hipster pretense. The drinks are amazing, the food is well worth the slightly upscale pricing, the staff (owners included) are fun and friendly, and the regular customers are really nice. Theres an enormous bench thing on the corner which is perfect for those customers wishing to enjoy their coffee outdoors, but I like to sit inside. If youve passed this place and wondered, wonder no more and just check it out. Youll be glad you did.

This place is fantastic! Excellent variety of drinks and food items. And jammin tunes all the time. Great variety of people come in here. So not a trendy coffeehouse, but more of your favorite neighborhood place. Joe, the owner is fantastic and so energetic! This is why Perkolator will always be my definite go to indie coffeehouse. This is the choice place I bring all my out of town guests.

So its a quaint place with friendly people. The problem is the espresso tastes burned and overly dark for any of the drinks. I prefer cappucinos with whole milk but I had to add sugar due to the absolute carbon taste on the palate. The whole milk just didnt cut the burn either. Over priced for burned beans.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon with my wife. We loved everything about this coffee shop. The cappuccino, Capri sandwich and muffins we had were awesome. The atmosphere with the quirky furniture and the bristas are the way a great coffee shop should be. Will definitely be back.

I love this bright little coffee shop. The decor is quirky- different tables and chairs..while being a comfortable place to have coffee with a friend. The owner is super nice and helpful.. coffee was excellent. Its nice to have a place like this nearby- I hope it does well.

Great local hidden gem. I had a fresh watermelon iced tea that was refreshingly delicious. Ordered a wrap, a little disappointed with the lack of meat but organic and fresh. Has free WiFi, table games to play and is connected to a record store. Love this place.

I loved this place and dont think i could speak more highly of it! The staff was very friendly, the food and drinks were all fantastic, and the decor was adorable. Its a little out of the way for me from where i live, but its well worth the extra couple of minutes!

The staff is always friendly and recognizes repeat customers. They have a great selection of both food and drinks, and for those who enjoys coffee, they have a manual espresso machine. If you have the time, check out the connected book and music store, Sputnik.

The Nutella latte was great, but now Im hooked on the spicy mocha. So, great coffee, love the eclectic-retro decor, but the genuine friendliness makes me go out of my way to stop there regularly. The world needs to be more like this coffee shop.

I love this coffee shop! I take all my friends here for coffee, lunch, and to hang out with a board game or peruse the record shop next door (but connected from inside the coffee shop). Come here if you wanna try an awesome peanut butter cup latte!

This place has amazing egg sandwiches!!!! The coffee is great but Im more of a fruit smoothie person. The smoothies are ok but can be a little too sweet for my liking. They have an awesome selection of munchies and service here is always grade A.

Love Joes vision not only for the shop, but the community. They use local deli in their products and make great use of other resources. Truly a great place to socialize and get great food/drinks

I love this place. I actually prefer it more than Starbucks. I loved the iced Mocha. The Iced Matcha Latte is phenomenal, I wish they would keep it around permanently.
