I have shopped at this particular store for at least a few years and Ive never had a bad experience until the last two days. I went into the store to return a palette that I didnt enjoy and never use but it was past the normal 60 day return date. I am a platinum member and have been for years-the first day I went in, I was told that I could not return my item as I did not have a receipt. The cashier was very helpful and I could tell that she felt badly about not being able to help me and she asked her coworker, Stacey about this situation and Stacey was so rude to me about this situation that I seriously debated never going back to this store again. I decided to call customer service to complain about Stacey because it is completely unprofessional to treat your customers rudely and was told by customer service that they would send a copy of my receipt for the item I wanted to return to the store which they did. I went back to this Ulta the very next day and the Stacey lady was still rude. My boyfriend had inventory at his job which is relatively close to Ulta and wanted to spend a little longer with our daughter and myself as he would not get to eat dinner with us like he normally does. He indicated that he needed to go to work and the Stacy lady stated, "Oh so you brought him as backup?" It was completely rude and Im really debating about just saying, "Screw Ulta" and go to Sephora

Went into the Ulta store in Champaign IL for the first and now, the last time with my wife. Firstly, the store manager was rude snob, who when my wife attempted to approach him, began walking very quickly from behind the register, blew right past us and walked as fast as he could to the back and through a door, not to be seen again. While looking for someone else to help answer a question, we came across another gentleman who worked there that was gossiping with an employee about a customer who had missing teeth, making jokes about it saying, "No amount of make-up is gonna help that lady!" I mean, seriously! There was no way on Earth we were going to ask that guy for help! A short red haired manager happened to walk up after she finished with another customer, asking if we were finding everything. She was very helpful, outgoing and friendly in contrast to the other two people working there and seemed to be the only one helping customers. Be that as it may, after that once experience with the store manager and the other guy making fun of customers, my wife said she would prefer not to shop there again.

I went there with my husband for a hair clip, cause it located near the restaurant where we had meal, then came my worst shopping experience in champaign. 10 mins after we walked in no one showed up yet then luckily a helpful woman( not sales) came up and led me to the hair dressing zone. When we were settled and went to the cashier, the cashier was so disappointed at my $6 clip that she exhaled when repeating the price with tax. Then she asked if I need a plastic bag, when I said no she suddenly whispered to the microphone with words like shoplift and when we left she said now they are leaving it sounded enunciative that I felt soooooo humiliated! I was feeling like to sue her anyway I would never ever shop there again.

I usually hesitate to ask for help in any make up store because I have rarely found anyone who knew what they were taking about.. but this time when Ashley came up and asked if I needed help I said yes. I am forever looking for a good under eye concealer and I am always disappointed with whatever I buy. Ashley was awesome! I have really dark circles and she immediately went and got three different products. Each one was a different brand so I know she was not trying to push one brand. The three products in combination with each other has given me the best coverage I have ever had. Thank you so much Ashley!!!

I have yet to meet an employee who is actually helpful here. You could walk around the store for hours and unless you approached a salesperson, literally no one would speak to you. The only reason I come back is because they carry brands that other stores dont and they have a nice rewards program. My advice to them is to fire everyone who currently works there and hire all new staff who at least know how to smile.

the people here dont seem to know which products to recommend. I have asked on two separate occasions for a good liquid eyeliner recommendation and both products they suggested did not work very well. unless you already know exactly what you want, I would not shop at this location.

Waited around for help. Workers walked right past me and asked another customer if they needed help. I walked right up to a worker and she walked to the next isle, happens twice. So my kids and I left. Very rude customer service!

Got my eyebrows done not happy dont do it! uneven dont match they look awful Im crying! Its just awful! No arch nothing :( Im going to call corporate office. Thank God I didnt let them do my hair!
