THE LADY WITH THE BRACES IS EXTREMELY RUDE AND SNOTTY TO PEOPLE WILLING TO PAY FOR SERVICE. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! My friend and I went in to make an appointment for a makeup lesson. We were looking around the store when I asked one of the employees if they could schedule us se said sure and gave the scheduling tablet to a lady up front. I didnt see the ladys name but she was wearing red lipstick and braces. I walk up to her at the front and say we wanted to be scheduled and told her my friend was over by Nars (not very far from the entrance), indicating she should follow. She says right off the bat that its 50 dollars. I look at her and she hasnt moved at all towards where my friend was, even though she was looking at her. So I go to my friend to ask if 50 is ok. She says its fine. So I turn around to go back to the lady to tell her but she had gone to the other side of the entrance where 3 other employees were and was laughing about something with them. So I went over to get her and said we are fine with the cost. My friend is still over at Nars at this point and the lady is bak where she started. I asked her if she could follow me to my friend this time and she got all agitated and said she couldnt leave the entrance. Meanwhile the 3 other employees from before were still standing at the entrance. So I get my friend and told her that she has to go to the lady. Them the lady tells us we cant go at the same time, which we were fine with. She suggested 12 pm and 1 pm. We asked if she had anything later. She sighs and looks at her ipad, which I could see clearly, doesnt say anything to us for 2 minutes and randomly looks at stuff. I finally asked her if there were times and she abruptly says 1 and 2 . We said ok. So she said she needs our information. When she gets our information she tells us we cant have anything on our faces and she says "moisturizer at the least" (she meant at the most). She said to come 10 min earlier to buy a 50 dollar gift card and show it to the person doing out makeup. I asked her if we had to use the gift card that day and she said no, you use it after the appointment, not understanding what I was asking. When we finished signing up, she just walks away. The entire time she was snotty to us, talked down to us, and acted like we were an inconvenience to her even though its her job. Her makeup was not good either. Her foundation was caked on and not the right color, her pores were all visible, and her t-zone was greasy. We cancelled our appointments this morning and made some at Ulta. Definitely would not want that lady to advise me on makeup ever. I expected more from a high end makeup store.

I went into this store with a pretty simple request: I was out of my everyday concealer (not made in the US anymore) and wanted to find one that matched. Without explaining anything, the color specialist (didnt catch her name - the one with the braces) asked me to take a seat, I assume to test different shades on my face. I asked if I could just compare the colors with a little bit on my fingers and she, clearly irritated, agreed. I know nothing about makeup and if this is the wrong way to do it, it would have been nice if that was explained to me. After finding what appeared to be a match, I decided that I should probably try a little spot on my face given the high cost. While doing so at the closest makeup mirror, the color specialist started chatting with another employee instead of agreeing or disagreeing that it matched. I politely interrupted because I had one last question. This time she made it utterly clear just how much of an inconvenience I was. I purchased the concealer but left the store extremely unnerved and bothered. Sure enough, when I got back to my car and saw the makeup in sunlight, it wasnt a match. I will be returning this product and never visiting this location again.

After having a horrible experience at the Madison location. I decided to try and give this one a chance. Never again. I went in there was an employee standing right in front of the door which is tiny as it is socializing with another employee. I knew what I wanted so I just politely said "excuse me". They looked at me and kept talking and did move so I had to squeeze through just to get in the store. So looking around i couldnt find the product that I wanted and I knew other stores carried it. So the girls at the door were too busy talking to each other. I said "um excuse me" again they still ignored me. So wondering around I found an employee with a really sour look on her face. I just had a quick question. I had to pretty much follow her finally got her attention her response was, "WHAT?!?!" I asked her if she had this product that I know other stores carry. Her response was, "I dont know go online" and walked away. Livid again so i left and again the two blocking the door so I had to squeeze my way out and they stopped talking an looked at me like I was bothering them. I am done with Sephora.

You know...I have to disagree with the negative reviews about the manager "with braces" (her name is Jessica). I purposefully went in on a weekday, needing an entire new line of products after an ULTA disaster and she was a godsend. She was the only one out of the group talking that offered to help when I first walked in, though everyone I encountered was excellent. She offered alternatives, explained why she was suggesting the products she was (though it was clear she felt strongly about her opinion...and she was right), and compared and contrasted brands with me. I image its hard being in the industry, Im sure advice gets dismissed often, which is probably discouraging, and you have be careful to just help and not unintentionally change someones style... I was upfront about not knowing anything and she was extremely helpful....To each their own I suppose but I will only buy makeup from Sephora now.

I have visited this Sephora several times and have consistently had terrible service at the checkout (fall 2007 and spring 2009). After waiting for my turn and moving to the next available register I was told the line was no longer open and could I please get back in line. Another time I was informed that I tried to skip a line when I moved to the back registers after the customer in front of me was finished. I would rather order online and wait for my merchandise, than support a branch with such awful service.

This is a great Sephora. I dont know why people are reviewing a Madison Sephora, and other locations that arent this one on here, but they shouldnt, because theyre bringing down the rating of this good one. They have almost everything, which is nice because i hate having to order from online. Also, the employees are always super nice and helpful. I love this Sephora.
