I would just like to start off by saying that I am heavily modified. I have 11 piercings and none have given me issues. But 8 months ago I went here to get my industrial done, something I have wanted for a long time ! I called and they told me Alex was amazing with them and has done many. After 3 months I started having very bad issues with it but decided to just press on. Now fast forward to last week I had a huge bump on it, normally this would be my fault but !!! Turns out it was his, for an industrial the holes have to be just right, or els the tension cause hypertrophic scaring, he didnt get the holes correct at all, I went to 3 shops to all get there different opinion and they all said the same thing, he royally messed up my ear. Theres a simple test they can do where they put two separate barbells on to see the alignment and they were completely straight. Meaning he pierced my ear horizontally and shoved a barbel in it at an angle. And no it didnt migrate because the holes ever perfect and there was no scaring to indicate that it has sifted, he just did it wrong. If you want to go here for simple, easy piercings go ahead, but anything complex I would go to another shop. Because obviously he has had no training when it comes to complex piercings. Color theory is amazing with piercings and so is the tattoo lady in Hammond. But please dont come here.

My experience, I went to get a tattoo on my birthday and I asked one of the workers if they could do it for me; he said he didnt do detailed tattoos and suggested me to go with another worker in the shop named Alex . The "Artist" said he would try his best so it would look similar. I dont want to make this story long so I endend up with a tatto that looked nothing similar to the original one. He charged me $180 for 5 mini birds that look like flying triangles, my feather doesnt have shape, the lines look like he was shaking while doing it & the letters on my tattoo look like a 10 year old wrote them. When he showed me the sketch, I thought it would look way better when he would do it. Looking at the reviews after getting it, this isnt the first bad review that they write about him . Supposedly he guarantees his work , he chargers me to fix it for the terrible work . Sadly I cant post a picture of it

My name is Susan, I am absolutely satisfied with my experience at vanity tattoo. After researching different tattoo shops and actually meeting one artist from a different shop who just emailed me some photo shopped garbage off Google images. My fiance told me about Rod Pronos at Vanity. We went in there straight away and I told him what I wanted and where I wanted it. He was booked solid for 2 months which is a good sign. Finally had my appointment and it was easy, walked in he lined the beautiful drawing on me right away and not more than five minutes later I was in the chair. Rod you rock your artwork is beautifully amazing, and you are hilarious. What a guy! I cant wait to finish in a month or so. everyone at Vanity is very friendly also. Great atmosphere, very clean, and good music playing too. Thanks Vanity see you soon and from now on.

I was so impressed when I walked into Vanity. I went and got my Rook piercing done. When I walked in all the staff were super friendly and welcoming. They sat and chatted with me as the piercer prepared the equipment. When it came to the actual piercing it was quick and well done. I took a friend in to get her belly button done a few days after (because I had such a good experience) and again it was a very friendly atmosphere, even with all the artists working. Although we didnt make an appointment and had to wait, someone kept checking in and as soon as an artist opened up who could do a piercing was available he took us right away. They are a little pricey, but Id rather pay an extra 5$-10$ for great service. I do wish they would have given a little more inf. on piercing care, but thats the only kind of complaint I have.

He gave me a hard time about what I wanted. Told me He didnt like any of the designs that I picked out. They tried to get me to tat something that I didnt want. So in my head, I thought the artist couldnt do it. I still gave the benefit of the doubt so I compromised. So I picked something that I sort of liked and maybe the artist could do. The outline looked good, but when it came to the details and shading. It turned out nothing like the picture that was provided. Now its on me and I cant just erase it. Also there was a spot that the artist got lazy on or forgot what the design looked like. I had my phone ready to show him but he just started filling it in. Didnt get what I wanted, artwork was bad, and I felt like I was doing something wrong. Rod was the one who worked with me.

I have called their office 4 times on different days, and left a message for Rob. I still havent heard back. I went there in march and although I loved my tattoo, I am very frustated with the fact that the artist hasnt found 3 minutes out of his day to return my phone call. ROB IF YOU HAPPEN TO SEE THIS ... I have been calling Vanity tattoo to let you know that I would like a touch up. I went in there in march & I didnt call sooner because It took me a while to heal as i had an allergic reaction to the pink ink. my tat is now better but there are spots where you can totally tell were never touch by the needle, so I would like to get it fixed, It is my understanding that i have 6 months to return for a retouch.

I got three tiny tattoos done on my 18th birthday at vanity. The healing process went fine, but they came out patchy. Fine with me, it happens. Whatever. So I went back a year and a half later, several times to try and get a touch up, and every time I was told they were either too busy or my tattoo wasnt healed yet. It has been over two years, and I have yet to be able to get it touched up. Not to mention one of my peircings from here rejected, as well as a friends. And the price for it was a bit much. Either way, so much for free touch ups. Ill be going to a new place for my next tattoo this summer and my fixes.

This place was awesome from start to finish! I was welcomed by April, and she set the tone to be a friendly, professional establishment. I honestly felt like it was a hangout spot, and probably wouldnt have left after my tattoo if I wasnt so hungry. It was my first tattoo, and Rod was able to take a Google image and shrink it down to the size I needed. Then, he did a wonderful job with my tattoo and Im nothing less than 100% satisfied!! Great place and I totally recommend it to rookies, veterans, and all those between.
