This experience was ROUGH. Please read this before going here! Im the MOH & the bride chose this shop for bridesmaid dresses only. Nobody lives close, but driving once to pick out and order and then again to pick up seemed fine. During the first visit to pick out dresses, the employees werent overly helpful. They kind of let us browse, pick out whatever we wanted to try on, and try on ourselves. Pretty laid back and self-done. I suppose I was expecting more of a chatty, fun personality for our consultant. Fine, I didnt care. Once we chose the dress wed get, they did individual measurements of each girl, totally normal. Well, as I was getting measured the woman said wow! Youre really all over the place with sizes huh? ...what? Im 52" and 130lbs. I didnt have huge body issues but if I did that would be very offensive and upsetting. Fine, I ordered and didnt say a word about that comment. Then, the dresses came in. The shop contacted the bride only (I wouldve liked a call but I totally understand this). It took our bride & bridesmaids 2 visits, 6 phone calls, 3 Facebook messages, & 2 emails to get contacted by this shop. Their posted hours were crap because 2 of the girls made trips to pick up the dresses (after we tried calling and had no answers). Both times the shop was closed. The bride had to eventually send aggressive messages just to get them to actually communicate back. We ended up getting the dresses just 3 weeks before the wedding, they came in about 8 weeks early. All of the girls had to pay rush fees for alterations & the response the shop had was sorry and they steamed the dresses for us (they tried to make that sound special when really its just industry standards). Overall, avoid this place like the plague. The prices are high, the hours arent great, & the communication is appalling. Id give them negative stars if I could.

If you want professionalism, to feel special in the wedding dress shopping process, or to have a reliable place to buy your gown or bridesmaids dresses, then Catherine Simms Bridal is not for you! Heres a list of ways they messed up my wedding dress experience... 1) Did not return messages or phone calls to 5 out of my 6 bridesmaids about placing their dress orders (where several messages were left by each) 2) Lost a bridesmaids credit card order, had to go back to the store to reorder 3) When we went to pick up bridesmaids dresses they couldnt find one for two days but oh jk it was actually in the store the whole time! Silly them! 4) THEY ORDERED ME THE WRONG VEIL. As in a totally different, not even similar veil. they didnt compensate for this in any way either might I add. Oh and when we went to return the incorrect veil they tried to get us to come back another day because "it would take a long time to find the order and double check that yes, that was indeed the totally incorrect veil and they were busy" 5) One lady who works there doesnt know how to measure and actually had my mom take my measurements for me. 6) Theyre store hours are incorrect. 7) I couldnt even get an alterations appointment in a time frame that worked. 8) Im a teacher. Im a happy positive person 95% of the time. I have been very very unbridezilla like in this whole process, and theyve been nothing but rude and incompetent. REAL REAL INCOMPETENT.

I arrived 20 minutes early for my appointment to try on wedding dresses in August with 5 additional ladies with me. We were the only group in the bridal salon and received great service and attention from Louise. She made me feel like a beautiful bride-to-be, provided her professional opinion on the dresses, but wasnt hovering or pushing the sale, either. She (and my ladies in-tow) pulled dresses that were in line with what I was looking for. She listened and was very personable, asking about my fiance and the proposal. I ended up finding THE dress here, the first one I tried on! It is a beautiful and elegant gown from the Catherine Simms Private Collection, and was the dress on the mannequin. Louise got me a great deal on the dress as-is, and has been in touch with me about the minor repairs needed on the gown. I am looking forward to my dress fittings and continuing to work with this great bridal shop.

The experience my bridesmaids and I had at Catherine Simms Bridal was amazing. We had an appointment, walked in, and were immediately greeted by friendly staff and were able to go look at dresses right away. They had a large variety of styles of dresses in the same material for brides who want to do different styles but in the same color. The employees offered honest advice but without being pushy about us choosing one style over another. They were very accommodating to my out of town bridesmaids and were able to get them measured that day, saving them an extra trip. I would highly recommend Catherine Simms for not only their employees and customer service but dresses as well. The quality is incomparable, great appearance and great fit. I had such a great experience with Catherine Simms and will definitely look to them in the future and refer them to friends as well!
