I worked with Monica for my heavily beaded gown alterations this summer and let me tell you I am over the moon with her service. I was very worried that because she was a designer that her alterations would be overpriced and that my alterations wouldnt be top priority (Apparently I was the over-worried bride!) But Monica was so much more than I could have hoped for. Her studio is adorable, comfortable and clean with a gorgeous full sized ornate mirror. Her personality is bubbly, sweet and chatty. She made my mom and I feel right at home and even let my mom talk her ear off. She listened to all of my concerns and understood everything I wanted to do. My dress was 3/4 inch away from zipping- a great achievement from the two inches when I bought it. I told her that I didnt know if I could make it close in the month I had left and she assured me that if by our second fitting (10 days before the wedding) it didnt close, then she would alter it. I didnt end up getting it to close but Monica worked her magic and it fit amazing on my wedding day! It was like it was made for me. She ended up hemming it, dipping the sweetheart neckline a bit more, taking in the hips a little to create a more fitted look , trimming my veil, and replace the zipper so that the dress fit. And I will remind you that the dress is COVERED in beads. For the amount of work that she did, her prices were very reasonable! Monica did amazing work and I highly recommend her!

After several attempts at local Bridal stores, I just wasnt happy with the "typical" bridal gown. I really wanted to feel elegant and beautiful, yet at the same time uphold my desire for modesty. But, I wasnt finding that in the glam and "say yes to the dress" mentality at these bridal stores. I had an idea of what I wanted--a modest neckline and sleeves--but I could only get that at these stores if I paid more to get the adjustments made to the dresses they had in stock. When I contacted Monica--already a friend--about custom creating and making my bridal gown, I was met with incredible enthusaism and my first meeting with her solidifed my desire for a custom gown. I showed her a couple of pictures for inspiration and within minutes she drew up her ideas and pulled out fabrics that I might be interested in--my dream dress was becoming a reality before my eyes! What a blessing it was to wear a gown that made me feel elegant, beautiful, modest, and completely MYSELF on my wedding day! Monica is not only a talented designer and dressmaker, but a great blessing to work with! I HIGHLY recommend her for any of your wedding/formal event needs!

Monica was wonderful to work with!! I had a fairly unique dress situation/request, and Monica certainly rose to the challenge. My fiance and I had taken secret dance lessons for over a year before our wedding, and had a beautiful and intricate bolero choreographed for us. A few months before our big day I realized that it would be impossible to do the dance the bridal gown Id already purchased without tripping all over the place! Just when I thought our year of hard work and practicing would go to waste, Monica came to the rescue. :) I knew there was a time crunch, so I asked for a really simple white dress that would twirl nicely for my spins. I expected something quick & low-key, but Monica went far above-and-beyond that! She met with me and walked through every little detail of the dress, put together beautiful sketches that I was able to pick my favorite parts from, and I ended up with a dance-ready bridal dress of my dreams!! The design, fit, and materials were all perfect. I wish I could wear it every day! I would work with Monica again in a heartbeat.

I was having difficulty finding a dress for my September wedding. You can find a lot of beautiful gowns at bridal stores, but after a while they all start looking the same. Plus I really wanted a dress that was rich in color, which is non-existent unless you’re willing to spend $8,000+ on a designer gown. It was recommended that I contact Monirose Bespoke Gowns, and I am so very thankful for that recommendation. I couldnt have been more thrilled with the whole experience. It was fun, exciting, unique and just wonderful. Monica really took the time to listen to my vision, creating a dress that fit my style perfectly. She was so easy to work with and was very accommodating. I want Monica to create all my dresses! My favorite moment was the thrill right before seeing the final creation. She is truly a talented individual. If I could give her 10 stars, I absolutely would. I found Monica while I was living in Spain, desperate for the right person to make my dress for my upcoming wedding. She sent me a mock-up of the dress so that I could get an idea of whether or not she understood what I was asking for, along with a sample of the intricate beading I was looking for. Her commitment to working long distance was outstanding. When I returned state-side, we got to making the real dress and she accommodated me without complaint when I deliberated over fabrics, changed my mind on many details and added new ones along the way. She was committed to making me a dress that fit perfectly so that I didnt have to worry about my strapless gown either falling down or making it hard to breathe all day. She was more than fair with her pricing and was very straight forward during the whole process. I’m so glad I got to work with her…I highly recommend her work!!!

Monica is not only a total sweetheart to work with but her talent is absolutely amazing!! She made the most gorgeous wedding dress for my oldest daughter--paying attention to every detail and making my daughters dream come true!! She was easy to work with and everything that my daughter dreamed up and created in her head, Monica brought to life and created!! We were SO pleased that we called on her to make my other daughters Junior Prom dress and my foreign exchange student from Germany had hers made as well! Both girls LOVED their dresses and were the classiest ones at Prom with handmade gowns!!! The girls had dresses that fit them perfectly and were made beautifully!! Monica does quality work and we will definitely call on her again in the future for other gowns!!

I worked with Monica in the summer of 2013 on a bespoke gown for my wedding. I couldnt have found a more perfect dress for my outdoor, farm fresh, yet quasi-formal wedding than I did with her. She brought my ideas to life, from a few pictures and a lot of "you know, lace but not too much lace!" comments. We even met in Chicago at one of her shows to pick out what ended up being my bridal lace. She is sweet, kind, and cares about your wedding as though youre family. And everything was on schedule as promised--meetings, fittings and email attended to promptly--so I never worried about my dress not being done on time. I recommend her to any bride looking for that one-of-a-kind, just-perfect, made-for-you gown experience.
