This was the best experience in purchasing gym equipment I have had so far. Eric has a very flexible schedule and can accommodate to your needs. I found this company through Craigslist and was a little skeptical at first. Once I met Eric and the warehouse in person, I was blown away at the amazing quantity and quality of products he had for sale. I am creating a home gym in my basement and needed odd and end dumbbells and plates. Eric had exactly what I was looking for and then some. Buying from Eric and Pound4Pound Fitness is the best way to go because there is no pressure to buy. Eric is not some sales person trying to sell you products you do not need. There is a nice Police/Fire/Military discount as well, which I appreciate very much! Thank you Eric for your time and help. As a plus Eric gave me a moving blanket so I could put the plate tree I purchased from him in side my car without scuffing up my leather interior! I will definitely be a repeat costumer and I strongly recommend Pound4Pound Fitness Equipment for those seeking used products!

Did not have the experience that it seems most have which makes me wonder about the quality of the reviews here. This is a huge dusty warehouse of old exercise machines bought wholesale for resale to foreign markets. The guy does a small side business to retail. Spent 1.5 hours there with Eric picking out two machines that he said he would clean up and replace the belts to make them not so loud. Here is where it got weird and extremely frustrating. OK, so Im willing to pay almost $4000 for two machines and when I ask him to let me know when they are ready with the new belts he never gets back to me and then becomes very hard to get a hold of. This is from a guy that before answers on the first ring. Finally have given up. I can only guess why a business owner would not make a sale to a customer ready to spend money. My guess is he either got a better price from someone else or never planned to fix the belts. Total waste of time and energy. Go through the reviews until you find Bud Ace, sounds just like what I experienced.

My wife and I were looking for an elliptical for our home. We determined that we wanted a higher end unit, but didnt want to buy a commercial unit new. I came across Pound 4 Pound on the internet and got in contact with Eric. We ultimately met up with Eric at his facility in Algonquin, IL. Needless to say he had hundreds if not thousands of pieces of used fitness equipment in all shapes and sizes. He talked us through various options and price points helping us understand everything. Ultimately we decided to go with an AMT unit which was a bit different that what we originally planned. Eric had the unit cleaned up and serviced before the delivery guys picked it up. It is now in our home and a great piece of equipment. We were very happy all around with the service and experience.

I have had a great experience with Eric & Pound4Pound Fitness. I bought a used Precor elliptical and I am loving it! Eric was able to have the equipment delivered and setup with no issues. The elliptical did have one minor issue, and this was addressed very quickly. Eric is very professional. He always returns phone calls in a timely manner and followed up on our sale afterward to make sure everything was O.K. If you are in the market for exercise equipment, do yourself a favor and check out Pound4Pound before paying extra $$$ for brand new equipment. All of the equipment at Pound4Pound is commercial grade equipment, made to last. If I ever need more exercise equipment, I will be looking here first. Thank you Eric!!

Over the last 4 years I have purchased 3 pieces of equipment (getting ready to purchase 4 and 5) from Eric at Pound4Pound Fitness Equipment. I have purchased from at least 10 equipment dealers in the Midwest and had good experiences as well as a few not so good. Eric quickly became my go to guy for any equipment purchase. I was so pleased with Erics fair price and his customer service over the years that I have referred several friends and businesses to use Pound4Pound. In recent discussion with a friend and fellow colleague who is about to purchase a Cybex Arc trainer he mentioned how important it is for him to purchase from someone he trusts and he thanked me for referring him to Pound4Pound a few years back.

My wife and I wanted to buy some additional exercise equipment and I came across P4P on the Internet. We arranged a time to meet the owner Eric at his Algonquin showroom and we were simply amazed by the amount of gently used commercial grade machines he had in his warehouse. We were a little overwhelmed at first however Eric was extremely knowledgeable on the different machines and the benefits which enabled us to quickly narrow down the choices. He delivered the machine today and it was beautiful! Eric runs a quality shop and we feel like the product we paid for was competitively priced and the service was excellent. We will be going back to P4P for all of our future exercise equipment needs!

I just picked up a large lot of used weight plates for my commercial gym and I couldnt be happier with the purchase. Unlike most used equipment dealers, pound4pound had accurate information posted and Erics customer service was great. He even helped load the plates into the trailer and gave me a great deal on some plyo boxes as well. After walking through the warehouse I can definitely say that Ill be making a lot of trips back as my business grows. Ive had about 6 years of experience buying used equipment for my gym and I can say that Eric is probably the best source for used equipment in the Midwest!

I was looking to build my home gym with quality gear that Im used to using at Lifetime/Xsport etc., however, that equipment is extremely expensive! I found this place, and got a great deal on pro equipment from Eric. He communicates well, and was available to meet around my schedule. Also, no need to worry about sketchy dudes on Craigslist! I plan on buying more gear from Eric as I build my home gym...quality equipment, legit business, and a great guy to deal with!

I tried to buy from Eric. Met at his store, picked out a piece of equipment, agreed on a price, was told it would be delivered on Saturday. He didnt show. Called Eric, he apologized and said he would be there Sunday. He didnt show on Sunday and wouldnt pick up his phone. Several calls later I gave up and I never heard from him again. I ended up finding a cleaner and nicer piece of equipment for the same price at Metrofit Services in Addison.
