Cotton Fogal

Perhaps this little shop does nicely catering one on one for events or formal occasions. However, as someone who appreciates high-end stationary and has an affinity for lovely notebooks or journals, this store was a disappointment. The quality of cards and stationary are no better than what you might find at Target or Barnes and Noble. I could overlook this, but worse was the quality of customer service. There was no greeting from the woman behind the counter to welcome us to her empty shop, she couldnt even be bothered to glance up from her computer. We felt like we were more of a bother than appreciated customers. Spend your time browsing some of the other better quality shops on Whitaker...the cute boutique across the street had more unique paper items than La Paperie.

For such a small store, in such a hidden location, with such a crap website, this store has an identity problem or they just dont understand the term customer service. The store is okay at best, with less of a selection than I think I habe ever seen at a stationary store. My main problem with this boutique and alot of the boutiques in this area is that they dont even acknowledge you when you walk in the store. I have worked at higher class stores, and even if you are helping a customer you welcome new customers into your store. This boutique basically caters to whoever is buddies with the owner and treats any possible new clientele like they are not even there. Isnt that kind of like when your neighbors are the only people that come to your lemonade stand?

Great little shop with lots of unique paper items such as: cute and fun printed napkins, cards, stationary, office supplies and wrapping paper. It is a great place to find gifts for hard to shop for people, and you will probably find something for yourself. The items here are more high end, so they are a more pricey than big box stores. I know they provide printing services (e.g. wedding invitations), but I have never used them, so cant comment on them.

Every time I visit Savannah I HAVE to stop in La Paperie! I love the homey feel of this place and I am always welcomed back with a big smile by the owner, Debbie Lewis. The floor to ceiling shelves filled with beautiful notecards, invitations and journals is the perfect place to relax and browse. I always find great gifts for friends and family. The new web site is great! If your a stationary lover dont miss this place!
