This review is mostly aimed at the deli center and customer service. Growing up this was our Walmart. But when they built the one in Oakwood, and then the neighborhood markets, this one quickly became the ghetto Walmart. Today was the last straw for me. I went in to just pick up diapers and a bucket of fried chicken. After waiting in line forever with two ladies working the deli, I place my order. The first lady apparently doesnt know any english and called the second over. Second lady has broken english. Tells me they dont have 16pc buckets. Seeing that a few pans are empty, and assuming theyve just stopped cooking, I ask if they have the 8pc. She says "no, no difference in 8 peice or 16. Sorry." and then moves on to the next customer. I assume she didnt know enough English to explain WHY, which would have been sufficient for me. This walmart clearly has bilingual employees, at least one english speaker should have been placed there. When the job is talking to people and taking orders, you should be able to do it well enough. Fail. The super center is quickly losing my business to the neighborhood markets for food and other retailers for everything else.

This is the busiest Walmart Ive ever frequented. Most Walmarts at least have a time of day where theres no crowd, maybe midnight or overnight but this one still has plenty of people most nights. There will always be a line, even on deader nights in self checkout, you usually have to wait for at least a couple minutes for a check out line to open up. It definitely has a great clothing section. The deli meat is good and cheap, but some of those associates are a little cranky and they are strict about closing the deli at 8pm sharp. They dont usually have obnoxious greeters at the door, and if you have a question its usually pretty easy to find an associate. The only complaint I have with the layout is that toiletries like toothpaste and shampoo are on the stores far right while all grocery items are on the far left. Overall grocery organization is pretty well done and easy to navigate.

Had an emergency and needed to return an item tonight and I was told customer service closed at 10, so I drove 40 minutes to get there, I arrived at 9:50 and they had closed customer service 10 minutes early... I hope they had a very good reason for lying to me about proper closing times now im stranded with an empty gas tank and no money, I guess ill sleep in the car after wasting all the gas and make that long walk home in the morning...sigh thnx Wal-Mart I wont ever shop at one again and would urge everyone to shop small business get this terrible company out of our great country it is killing our economy and draining our workforce of good jobs, by providing an easy way out for us all DONT TAKE THE EASY CHOICE! Its up to us as consumers to reclaim our nations economical strength and fight these giant greedy industries!!! GOD BLESS AMERICA, GREATEST COUNTRY ON EARTH

Never ever coming back to this Wal-Mart. Remember the customer is always right. If I get cash back and ask for change you should honor my request thats the whole reason I checked out at a register with a person operating it so I could get my cash back the way I wanted it. The lady shut the register so quick didnt give me time to tell her how I wanted it back, so I took the cash to customer service to get the change I wanted the lady have me the change I wanted them stated its company policy not to give change and a lady beside her states the same thing I work for a super center as well and if the customer gets cash back and wants it in a certain way we honor that I shouldnt have to sit and listen to company policy I dont work there so I could care less all I wanted was change not an earful.

This is the BAD Walmart in the Gainesville area. If you possibly can go to the Oakwood one as it is FAR better. This Walmart is dirtier, has fewer employees, (even by Walmart standards) and has worse stocking. (Things are often in the wrong place and even mislabeled.) And the worst this is they have those DIRECT TV SALESMEN stationed outside the electronics section! They are EXTREMELY annoying and pushy! GET RID OF THE DIRECT TV SALESMEN! They ruin my experience and when I have a cart full of groceries I do not want to stop so I can justify my choice in cable provider to them. Seriously Walmart. STOP. Im in your store to buy from YOU! Not Direct TV! This is ridiculous! Human version of pop-up ads!

They need to hire more employees and stop being cheap. The store is always packed with people and they only have 2 or 3 registers open and the lines are 10 minutes long. You know its a long wait when your kids start complaining that their legs hurt from standing in line. The only time Ive ever seen more than 2 or 3 registers open was on black Friday. I feel like the point of Walmart is to conveniently walk in, get your stuff and be out very quickly. This is not the case at this Walmart. I very rarely have a positive experience in this store.

Sorry..three employees did nothing to help me to call the police after three dogs was locked in a car, parked in a No parking Zone,..for 12 minutes they said they was not allowed to call the police...I did not have a phone, they was more concerned about the car, being parked in the No parking Zone, than the three dogs...I confronted the man, once he came out,police was coming, but the guy left,before they got there, make--model--tag number--description of vehicle--was reported, I hope the police caught with this POS..WALLY WORLD,

Just like many other Walmart. They keep everything stop. Just gets very crowded like many Walmarts but this one gets ridiculous sometimes. Especially on weekends or major holidays. Shop here every so often. Not the biggest one they have but its a good size. Like many Walmart employees most of them look stressed out. Theres a few that are friendly and helpful. There always seems to be a problem with their self-pay system. Overall its okay for what you need. Could just be a little more organized

Lots of Mexicans enjoying food stamps and spending money on Huge T.VS. You will occasionally see the white trash group that I fit into fighting with them over a loaf of bread someone left in the toy aile. But its big and they got lots of cheap stuff. If they would put a circus in the lot and allow the live chicken head bite and toss. I think a lot of these people would park Their trailers there and make it a family afair, or maybe have an affair with a family member.

I hate coming here and do so ONLY when I have to. There are NEVER enough Che k out lanes open. The only time the lines arent a dozen or more people deep is at 3 in the morning. And since I get up at 5 for work, I have NO desire to be here at 3 am. The temperature is always set at broil. I cant spend 5 minutes in the store without breaking out in a sweat. The employees always have sour expressions. This is the LAST time Ill be shopping here.
