I went in to get some more fish because I had some pass due to old age. The associate who helped me didnt want to give me the fish my 5 year old daughter had asked for due to concerns about overcrowding the tank. I talked my daughter into choosing different fish. The two things that really made me mad. First after we made our choices in the quantities the associate felt comfortable selling us, they were bagged up, she asked if we would like 2 more fish because there was a sale buy 4 fish and get 2 free. She had earlier refused to give us 5 tiger barbs so we only got 3 (plus an algae eater). When I got thr kids buckled in the van to go home, we discovered that one of the fish we had just walked out of the store with was dead. We went back into the store. A different associate started to lecture me about leaving fish in the van for too long and tried giving us a bigger tiger barb than I the other two which was irritated me more because those were the fish I requested the first time, but was told no needed smaller one from a different tank in smaller quantities. I have successfully had a fish tank for 5 years. I dont appreciate driving 20 mins into town to have to debate with associates about what is best for my fish tank. Especially when I was attempting to replace with same type of fish I had. I will now drive longer to the Petsmart in Oakwood before going to the one i Gainesville again.

I totally understand other peoples point of view on the Grooming section of Petsmart....but before you write the store off, maybe you should ask to speak with the Manager of the section, Christina F. Shes been working with my two babies for the past couple of years (or more, Ive stopped counting!), and she has to be the NICEST, FRIENDLIEST person ever!!! Shes ALWAYS gone above and beyond for me, and I know Im not the only one. She gives me progress reports, ALWAYS calls me as soon as theyre ready for pickup (and I have them shaved, their nails trimmed, their ears cleaned and bathed...so it takes a good two hours!), and has notified me of anything that may be wrong. Shes given fantastic advice (like Lavender spray for when I was traveling with them both and I didnt want them to be anxious) - helped save me money, and just overall an awesome person. Ive literally driven across the country to make sure shes the only one who ever grooms my pets, and I hope Petsmart recognizes what a brilliant employee they have with her!!! :) P.S. Before you dismiss this post as just someone who is a friend of hers, or someone who works at Petsmart, Im actually neither. Just a very satisfied customer who will continue to have my babies groomed there for as long as I can!

Im not happy with this Pet Smart right now. We went to get something for our ball python, and every time we go in there we always look at the reptiles, well the last time we went, one of their ball pythons was starting to shed, today when we went in almost over a week later, the snake is still shedding, but no progress since the last week we were there. We checked the humidity and the temperature and they were BOTH way too low,(the humidity needs to be up in order to help the snake have an easier shed), when we went to the counter, we informed the cashier that they needed to fill the water bowl and check the temp because we have a snake so we kindaaaa know what they needed. Not being rude in any way of course. The cashier at the first register leaned over and said "Maybe we should just spray the snake" like are you freaking me? You work at a PET STORE, your main care is animals and their needs. Im no expert, but im pretty sure if you dont take care of the animals it doesnt look good to customers. Id hate to think these beautiful creatures are being mistreated. Im not happy with this, its not that hard to take care of a snake. So if we could fix this that would be great. This is a form of neglect.

Well their reptile and fish department could be better i was trying to find a divider for my frog tank to make it 50% water and 50% labd i tild the guy what i was looking for abd why he got me a divider but it wasent the right one it was moreless a screen i needed something solid but the thing is he didnt even bother looking at it to make sure so i decided to get stakable rocks they didnt have NONE plus i was gonna buy live plants there was maybe 8 plants there and all of them looked dead and i shop there all the time for dog food that and cat food is about the only thing they have plenty of but since there is gonna be a pet store thats gonna be opening up in cleveland ga im gonna start shopping there cause they have more aquatic and exotic stuff for reptiles fish and frogs snakes and gonna have plenty of accssories

Went in to get a bath and nail trim for my dog at 5pm on a Sunday. One employee was playing on a phone, one was crafting, and the other was trimming a dogs nails. I was told that they could not do a bath today but could cut the nails. So after waiting 10 min I was told that we needed her rabies papers. These were already brought in and are on file. She also has her current tag on her collar. It is very clear to me that they just didnt want to do their job. Not the first time Ive had bad service there but it will be the last!!

First and last experience at this disaster of a grooming salon. Wasted an entire day waiting on a grooming appointment that they didnt even correctly book. The ironic part in all of this was I did get a confirmation e-mail once the appointment was canceled which clearly displayed that the appointment was indeed incorrectly booked. Now that would have been useful to receive PRIOR to the appointment as a confirmation e-mail. The lackadaisical nature of this location is simply unbelievable.

I have been visiting this location for years. I am a fish keeper so base this review on that. I have started driving further to flowery branch exit 12 just because this stores tanks are so bad. They have clear tape inside the tanks that is old to repair tank dividers. Everything just looks dirty. Also not impressed with the staff. Not downing petsmart because other stores are much better. This one is not so good. Staff is unprofessional, and quit talking aloud about personal stuff.

Call Friday to make the appointment for today when we got there the ladies werent real friendly then as we leave for them to do what we wanted one lady told us it would be four hours and it was close to three hours before they were done with him and the staff was all sitting around talking about going to dinner and when they called to let us know he was done the lady wasnt friendly at all

I wouldnt recommend their Grooming to anyone at all. They always have the worst attitude on the phone. They never call as soon as theyre finished with your dog. Its like they wait until you miss your dog and you call them to ask . Im never quite satisfied with the job they do. They just had their last chance,Im not using them anymore.
