My wife and I live in Athens, and weve been to game and comic shops all over the state of GA. We have two of our own game shops in town and two comic shops as well, but rarely are we able to find a store that caters to both my love of games and her love of comics. In that respect, Galactic Quest is as good as it gets. It is easily worth the 1+ hour drive from Athens, so if youre closer than that, its a no brainer for all your trading card game, board game, collectible, and comic book/graphic novel needs. The times Ive been, Sean, the manager, has gone above and beyond to make me feel welcome, answer my questions, and get me set up with the my new Weiss Schwarz addiction. My wife was able to find the 10th Doctor and TARDIS Funko Pop figures that shes been searching for for years now. And weve barely scratched the surface of what Galactic Quest has to offer. For a clean, well organized shop that caters to ALL your geeky needs, with a knowledgeable and friendly staff, and game nights hosted weekly, you really should give Galactic Quest a look. I visited for the first time to get a gift yesterday, I hadnt been in a comic store in 2 decades and was a bit apprehensive to walk into the cliquish overly-self important environs of the typical comic stores I was used to as a kid. I found this store to be the opposite, everyone was extremely helpful and friendly and the store had a very nice energy. Despite the crowd, the older gentlemen who seemed to be in charge couldnt wait to give me a personal tour of all the possible locations that I should check out to satisfy my curiosity and immediate shopping list. I spent a bit more than I planned just to support such a place and will likely bring the kids back next time to explore. He mentioned a Robotech vs Voltron comic that had been flying off the shelf.....I laughed and said Id be back for that.

The owner is awesome and the store has such a laid back atmosphere and everyone has a good attitude. The weekly events are also super great and if your a magic player, vanguard player the weekend is for you. They also expanded their stock to Include gundam plastic models and a club for people who build them for fun or make custom models for competitions. Overall amazing place, rating scale not high enough 10/10 will always go back.

My primary comic shop. All the newest releases of comics, games, and miscellaneous collector type things. Knowledgeable staff, who are always personable. Shaun is almost always there when we go, striking up a conversation or pointing out something new he knows Id like. Large store with an upstairs area to play games. Lots of test games! Try DEAD OF WINTER (so fun). Plenty of longboxes to dig through for back issues.

Been there a few times and its always been pretty bad. No helpful knowledge beyond the clerks own taste in books. Reluctantly made a call to ask about a series of books and was told they were too busy to look into it said that Id have to go and check myself. Oh well. I could always get my books way cheaper on Amazon but I still like making the trip to a comic book shop. Just not to this one.

This is my local store for comics and checking out whats new and cool in graphic novels. Kyle, the owner, is a comic creator himself and has assembled a great team of employees who are passionate and helpful making this a fun place to shop. They also have a really well curated kids section that is stocked with a little bit of everything for all ages and genders.

Excellent and friendly service with a good selection of current and recent issues of titles. It has a charming family comics section that my toddler daughter loves and sells a good selection of games and Funko Pops. Parking is free and easily available. They also have a location in downtown Lawrenceville which is near the old courthouse.

With fair prices, amazing and helpful staff and a wide variety of titles, this place has me coming back weekly and I cant recommend it enough for anyone in the Buford area. My only complaint is that at first the place may be a bit hard to find, bit aside from that, this place is perfect.

Great store and location with the exception of the card players that swarm the store. I mean I come to comic book stores to buy books and when you have card players holding up the line it kinda dampens the comic book store experience. Guess Im old school.

The store is nice but on multiple occasions Ive walked into the store and been ignored by the manager and staff. Prices are pretty high for anything none single issue comic book, as well.

Nerdgasm to the extreme, one of my fave comic/gaming stores in the area. Tons of inventory, clean, friendly, awesome silver surfer statue... They stay open later for gaming sessions too!
