IN THE PROCESS OF SEARCHING FOR A BAKER FOR MY WEDDING CAKE for my upcoming wedding,I CAME ACROSS THE CAKE HAG IN GOOD HOPES DECIDED TO TRY,BASED OFF GOOD GOOGLE REVIEWS. WHEN I TRIED TO CALL TO SCHEDULE A TASTING (several times)...NO ANSWER.GIVEN THAT PEOPLE ARE BUSY, my FIANCÉE & I DECIDED TO STOP BY. THE ATMOSPHERE IS VERY DISORGANIZED & (im not sure what the lady name was,but I assume she was the owner) She EXPLAINED TO US THAT WE HAVE TO PICK UP A SAMPLER BOX WHICH IS COMPRISED OF PREVIOUS FLAVORS BAKED THROUGHOUT THE WEEK. WE SCHEDULED TO PICK UP A BOX A WEEK LATER. SHE ALSO ALSO SAID TO CALL 30 MIN AHEAD WHEN WE ARE ON THE WAY (I did, still no answer). When I arrived ,I explained my reason for being there, & she already knew why I was there & greeted me in a sacarstic manner. I wanted to leave, but reluctantly I gave her a chance. While preparing the box,the cakes where in a refrigerater in an old zip lock bag & then the lady just threw it in the microwave to heat it up? I,my fiancée & family tasted the cakes & they are HORRIBLE AND TASTE OLD & on top of that she said gave us buttercream but instead it was pure WHIPPED BUTTER!!! The presentation of the sampler box was atrocious. These people are very unprofessional & disrespectful. I advise any one who is looking for a cake for a special event to avoid this bakery at all costs.Just go here if you do not want to be taken seriously.THIS PLACE SHOULD BE EMBARRASSED TO BE OPENED & should not be operation if business is conducted like this. (I attached a picture of the "so called"sampler box )

The next step in the evolution of the local bakery is here. The Cake Hags bring so much creativity, passion, and integrity to their art form of baking that it is love at first bite! Their cakes, cookies, and pies are made from only the finest, freshest, and best all natural ingredients including organic. Their flavors go way beyond the typical bakery fare into a blissful dream-like Wonka-esque spectrum from Aztec Chocolate Cake to Jameson’s Banana Pudding Cake and everything in between. You havent lived until you tasted their Carolina Carrot Cake...It has caramelized pineapples! Maggie and Katie, the mother-daugher duo who own Cake Hags, are some of the sweetest most down to earth people who truly love what they do. Even when they get real busy (which happens often) they make sure everyone is taken care of and always answer all your questions. If you are looking for anything special that you cant find any place else, just ask them and they will make it happen! There isnt a time, where I havent left with a smile on my face after visiting their store. If you are looking for a sweet treat to make that special occasion all the more memorable, this is the place to go!

I have a sweet tooth and this is my go-to place to satisfy it. The single slices are so big I cut them in half and have two days of snacks. The eclairs, brownies and other baked goods are all delicious, too. The special occasion cake I ordered in the shape of a tennis shoe (the logo of my neighborhood festival) looked like a Shaq-sized high-top, but sure didnt taste like a gym shoe! The chocolate cake was fantastic and disappeared so quickly I didnt have a chance to sneak a slice to save for later. The other day when I was in, a man came in to ask about wedding cakes. They sat him down and gave him samples of the various flavors, which they keep refrigerated and then warm to room temperature in the microwave. I thought that was a pretty clever way to let a potential customer taste everything on offer. Hmm, I wonder if I can pretend to be engaged.

The cake was broken, sloppily done, was nothing like we ordered. We didnt even eat or cut the cake. Im so aggrevated. I took pictures and wanted to discuss this situation with them which is why I search for the hours and learned they are closed today. Took plenty of pictures as proof. I will definitely discuss it with them tomorrow. TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!! After speaking to Katie she informed me via email had I not given a bad review we could of worked something out. If the product is unsatisfactory that is what the review process is for too make sure someone else does not have a similar BAD experience. I wish I could post pictures of the end result of the cake. As well as her un professional emails. SMH poor way to.do business.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Cake Hag! Heres a summary of our experience: Professional Down to earth Delicious! Myriad of choices (cake, fillings and icing) Reasonable Prices Natural Ingredients (some organic) Maggie and Katie are down to earth and professional. I very much respect that they use natural ingredients (organic when they can) and thats one of the many reasons we chose them for our wedding cake and in-laws 40th anniversary party a few years later. Communication with them is easy and they really understood our desire for a simple but tasty cake. They even took special dietary requests for guests at our wedding beforehand so no one would be left out of enjoying cake! You will not be disappointed with these ladies, I promise!

If you are looking for someone to make your wedding cake or any cake for any occasion, look no further than Cake Hag. Maggie and Katie are not only the sweetest women youll meet, but they make the most delicious and beautiful (and affordable!) cakes in town. After a mediocre experience at Publix, I was worried that I wouldnt be able to have an affordable and tasty cake at my wedding. But Cake Hags prices are a crazy good deal. On top of everything, they make a fresh cake to celebrate your anniversary so that you dont have to go through the ordeal of freezing the top layer of your cake. I just went back there today to order a cake for my second year anniversary, and its just as amazing as I remember it on our wedding day!

Bought a sweet16 designed "6 inch" cake and cupcakes with white chocolate batter."oh my god" it was horrible!!! Taste like cornbread with frosting on top.The cake was very bland..... My party participants said the cupcakes taste like nothing with whip butter frosting.Publixs was better than that!!! Once again, dont be fooled by the looks or designs of the cake inside is dry and nasty. Do not waste your money!! It was so embarrassing for my party participants. Some ate the cupcakes just to make me feel better. Also not to mentioned, they didnt even offer me another cake. It was a 6 inch and my peole ate some of it. The designs were still intact. What a discuss!!!!! DONT BUY FROM THEM YOU WILL BE UPSET!!!!
