If I ever return to the Pie Hole I am planning to "pay it forward" by requesting that they reserve a very small spoonful of my pie (the small sized spoons like they give you for tasting at the ice cream shop) for the next customer who would like to taste a bit before they decide which pie to purchase. My wife and I visited the Pie Hole yesterday and she was delighted to see such a large selection of delicious looking pies. As she was placing her order (to the lady whom I will refer to as the Pie Queen), she asked if she could have a half slice of this kind of pie and a half slice of that kind of pie. In my mind, I was thinking, there is no way she was going to agree to that. So when the Pie Queen brusquely stated that its not her business model to go along with such a proposition, I had a different idea. I asked her if we could get a tiny sample of the pie in question just to taste. Her response was just as rude as the response to cutting a slice in half. I almost thought she would yell, "No pie for you! Come back in one year!" But she didnt go that far. So the two stars were for the excellent pie. It really was good (but so is the Marie Callenders Dutch apple pie that you bake in your oven). Maybe Im just not a pie snob. Despite the pie itself being worth 4 stars, I had to take away one star for the New York attitude right in the middle of Roswell GA. And I had to take away another star because we had to eat quickly because of the 15 minute parking limit for customers posted in front of the shop. Im sure the Pie Queen would have us towed!

A neat neighborhood gem hidden (literally) in Roswell. Getting there is pretty hard, and is connected by a narrow gravel road and a few parking spots, but you can probably find parking nearby. The establishment is pretty cute and rustic, its run by a small team who are really nice and helpful. I decided to go with a slice of apple pie, which came to around $5. The pie was still warm when we got it, and you can even see them slicing apples and baking pies in the back. The pie was pretty good. I really love how the apple slices were still crispy, with a nice tartness (I think they use granny smith). The crust unfortunately was a bit soggy in my opinion, though some parts were also crispy and nice. Overall the pie is pretty light, and not as heavy as I thought it would be. I would give it a 5, but I will need to try some more to bump up one star. Its a good stop to get dessert after a meal in one of the restaurants nearby, give it a try!

I called at around 11 am, and ask to see if they had pecan chess pie, and was informed that they didnt. I left it at that. About 20 mins later, I received a phone call, and was told that I had spike her curiosity and that she look up, and found a recipe. Even on short notice she made the pie that day. The place is very nice, it made feel like i was at home. Worth every penny for the pie, It was sooooo goooood!!! I will be coming back for all my pie needs, and wants.

My mother makes the best pies so Im really picky. This is the only place Ive ever eaten a pie at that I was happy. I was more than happy I was delighted. My wife now gets pies for me on special occasions. Alas the place is only open during inconvenient hours but I like the fact that they seem to value their staff enough not to drive them into the ground. Writing this review made me crave a pie. Time to remind my wife that Fathers Day is coming.

My kids and I used to come here often to grab a slice of pie when they were younger. We would always order apple with walnut and it tasted just like my grandmother`s pie from my childhood. A couple of days ago I went again and guess what. I remembered so many sweet moments and the pie got even better ! A favourite place indeed !

I enjoy cherry pie about as much as any dessert. This is my fourth try and second visit and the cherry pie served up here is, in my estimation, the best I have ever tasted. I had two pieces yesterday ... one for lunch, one for dinner!

The pie is amazing but they always seem to be out of pies by the time I get there. They also Dont have the Lemon Blueberry pie the whole year. The Lemon Blueberry is the best pie I have ever tasted and I want to eat it year-round.
