I m sure this location has been in temple terrace for ions however, I feel like if you dont fit the mold of what a typical "ACE HARDWARE" individual should look like they seem a little prejudgemental. I felt like they were watching me as if I were going to stuff a tool box down my pants. I am particularly bothered because I drove from Land O Lakes to buy several cans of plasti dip. However, just wanted to spray the particular color I was looking to purchase which by the way was about 7 to 9 cans. The goal was to make sure it match what I d be spraying it on. I believe most people would want to the same thing. I did not spend money only to find out it wasnt a match. I think most people would be this way including the owner / manger. Truth be told I knew they had what I wanted so drove 40 min only to be prejudged... Btw. The spray can had already been opened and sprayed so I just wanted to spray it on a piece of cardboard to ensure this was exactly what I needed. In conclusion, I actually went to Home Depot instead and purchased and was able to try it before hand. I do understand there position i.e. Ace Hardware as a small business but at least learn some basic interpersonal skills and effectively communicate to customers that may not be totally abreast with how a smaller hardware store functions. I failed to mention my experience with the ACE on hillsborough Ave has always been great.

Open until 7:00p? Come on. How hard is it to have employees work in shifts like every other retail store? This is why you lose so much business to places like Wal-Mart. That and the high prices. Basically, Ace is where I go when I need a specific washer or a bolt. They could empty out every other aisle and no one would know the difference. Ace needed a face-lift about 3 decades ago (longer hours, technology upgrades, more employees, better organization, etc.) and theyve just let it wither. Itll be a shame to see it go the way of Scottys, Builders Square and the like.

Helpful friendly staff. Unlike the big hardware stores they can actually answer questions about hardware. I know, crazy right? Prices arent the lowest but not super expensive either. They almost always have what you need and will order it if they dont

Excellent, very Professional, had a Chip Key made there, was approximately 25% cheaper than anyone else in the Tampa Bay area, worked GREAT. Small, quaint, very personal, the way old school hardware stores used to be.

Got in the store at 4:40, waited 20mins for the cutting guy to show up and have a 2ft by 4ft plywood cut in half. Shows up and tells me "Its 5pm, closing time so I cant cut it. Gotta wait till tomorrow".

I am not a great fan of Ace Stores in general, but this one is different. It has an awesome variety of procucts and great staff willing to go the extra mile to get me my special order product.

Employees are clueless about their products, if you buy something plan on taking it back and dealing with the rude nasty management. I drive across town to the one on Parsons instead.
