NICE SALES PEOPLE but POOR SUPPORT. BUT WORSE, THE SURFACE Pro 4i5 IS THE WORST DEVICE EVER PRODUCED. This confirms my final purchase of a Windo-based, Microsoft device ever again! I have used Mac for decades, and smitten by the flavorful comercials and multifunctionality of the Surface, I risked purchasing a Window device after decades of happiness with Mac/Apple. THIS WAS MY MISTAKE. There is a reason why the return policy is only 30d, and if you call to ask for help, the 13 year old that answers your phone call cannot even articulate the English language appropriately let alone understand your needs. But lets talk about the SURFACE. My review, the Bad, the Ugly, and the Good: The BAD: 1) the finger-touch screen is so off that typing with the on-screen keyboard is a mess. Every word typed is a mistake which takes me 10x longer to just type a sentence as I am constantly back tracking and correcting mispelling. Using your finger to close a window, touch a point to get something to respond is invariably impossible unless you tap the target repeatedly. To finger-touch an item within a browser is to be NO WHERE NEAR TARGET and takes you to some other browser page that you cant get back from. Your finger-tip is often not even sensed, and when it is, its off by 1 cm peripheral to your finger. Sure, I have tried calibrating it... about 20 times, does not work. But use the pen you say? I havent used a pen to type or manipulate a screen since the Handspring Palm Pilots of 1990s. Besides, the pen gets lost and I dont have the patience to keep track of 4 items (they keyboard, mouse, Surface it self and the stupid pen). I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY TOUCH-SCREEN INFIDELITY WITH ANY MAC/APPLE/IPAD/IPHONE EVER! 2) the PDF reader "Drawboard" with the hexagonal editing options is painful to use. It is not intuitive. You have to constantly return to it to get the editing you want and after editing, you have to go back and select "pan" just to scroll over the document again. It has very limited options, no signature, filling objects such as squares with colors, etc. Apple IOs "Preview" works beautifully. Simple, intuitive. You can sign a document, fill in/erase stuff you dont want or just re-work the entire documents without a lot of fancy edit options. Love Mac. 3) the new Window operating system with the big-boxes of icons on the home screen is a waste of space. If you multitask Like I do, I have about 10 windows open at a time. There is no easy way to organize the windows like "Mission Control" on iMac. Microsoft should just stick with the way Windows had looked and performed before Windows 10. 4) Cortana is worthless. Cannot even locate files for me. 5) If your finger hovers near the black border, which it does if you are normal and hold your device like a book, random applications and the "action center" will pop up out of no where. 6) Battery life is about 5 hours on standard setting. My device is only 3 months old. 7) Putting it to sleep and turning off is no different. You have to resart each time. 8) the camera is by far the worst quality- takes awful pictures in low light/normal indoors and has no flash. 9) very few options to customize it- for example, I like to have the desktop button on the bottom taskbar, I can no longer do this. The Ugly: 1) Terrible speaker quality. 2) Heavier than MacBook Air once you attach the keyboard, pen to it. 3) the fold-out metal kick-stand cuts into your thighs if you prop it on your lap like most people do. 4) rotation from landscape to portrait is 2-3 seconds slow/delayed. The Good: 1) It syncs with google, Kindle, iTunes. 2) comes with "3D Builder" so you can build geometric buildings, walls, boxes for fun while you are on hold with Microsoft and can be calming when you are about ready to throw the Surface Pro 4i5 against the wall, again. If anyone from Microsoft wants to talk, email me. Anyone want to buy a Surface Pro 4i5 that is 3 months old, seriously? email me.

My buddy and I went there to purchase the xbox one halo 5 limited edition bundle on Saturday, the first one he got had something broken inside so we took it back to the store and they exchanged it for us without any issue, we opened the new one in the store to make sure there was nothing broken, upon getting home we noticed the serial number on the console didnt match the one on the box,by that point it was too late to call the store back, so we registered the console on the website to see if they had just made a mistake in China when they were packaging the console but the console came up with 11 months of protection instead of 12, so we called them the next day and basically they told us they couldnt exchange the console again because it was done once already and they werent sure if we had swapped out the console with a different one. Now we are 450 dollars out of pocket with a used console instead of a new one. Very disappointed with whole process and no one would even accept responsibility and we are getting treated like we are at fault. UPDATE We got contacted by one of the managers at the store ( Dennis ) and he invited us back to the store to get everything sorted out for us . Not only he was genuinely nice but he also very helpful and exchanged the console and also gave us a couple of extra goodies which we were not expecting for our troubles. Thank you Dennis for the great help and restoring our faith in Microsoft.

Worst experience ever at the International Mall. Everyone was too busy to help and they would walk right past you and not even acknowledge you standing there. I asked for help and they seemed bothered and said they were very busy and would get to me when they could. I finally asked a guy at the counter if I could buy the New Surface Laptop and said only if you had completed a pre-order online. I asked about the i7 Surface Laptop and he said that Microsoft had pulled the laptop from the shelf and would not be selling them. I thought that weird but he said he might have an i5 model for me but I said no thank you and left. I was planning on spending $2,000 dollars or more this morning. They do not even deserve 1 star but Google doesnt give you that option. Here is an update: Spoke with Microsoft by phone and the i7 Surface Laptop is available and in stock. The Microsoft Rep called the store to verify this. She was not sure why the would say that i7 Surface Laptop was pulled by Microsoft.

I enjoyed visiting this store for the first time today and two of the reps were really helpful and answered my questions... but one girl at the front of the store brought another couple to the person I was already taking to, mid-sentence, and pushed them off on him. I was clearly in the middle of talking to him, but she didnt seem to care. She just seemed to stand around looking at people and playing on her cell phone the entire time we were in the store. And I bought it to the attention of one of the guys I was speaking to, but he just had a straight face and didnt even attempt to apologize or say anything at all about her doing this. Even though one guy in particular was extremely nice, I likely wouldnt bother buying a laptop in-store just because of the crappy experience today. Oh well.
