I have given up on this place. The only reason I would ever go there is to buy guitar strings, picks, and see what they have in their goody box. It seems that every time I go there to purchase something, it turns into an argument. On two occasions I was buying strings for vintage instruments and did not want to put a lot of stress on the instruments. They became very judgmental in my choices (which I thought was out of line) and kinda snubbed me. I would ask them very simple questions on the phone about parts and they would start questioning my questions. Who does that? I really would like to go in there and buy a $1200 Rickenbacker or Les Paul, but when I am in the market to buy an expensive guitar/bass (three times in a lifetime) they never have anything good. One time I went in there with my wife who was uncomfortable and had to pee, but they would not let them use their restroom. I had 5 sets of strings in front of me I was deciding on, and was going to buy something. These guys need to keep their unprofessional attitudes for after work and start treating patrons with more respect. Everyone out there, if you go to Green Shift, prepare to be snubbed. Green Shift, if you are reading this, you just lost another loyal customer- even if it was to buy a pair of strings every now and then. With Legends gone, I guess its back to the WalMarts of music stores. So much for keeping local business alive.

I give this place high marks because despite their size you can find just about anything you want when it comes to comic books and graphic novels: current, collector, used, etc. They have coffee coffee table books and paperbacks that will make you fill young again. I am really impressed with the variety of comics. As a kid in rural NC it was so hard to find anything, and this little place has all the Indy works too. Nice shop of vintage merchandise as well as new stuff including walking dead. Located in Seminole Heights you can pick up a comic and read it nearby at Southern Brewing which is family themed bar wth large garden and non alcoholic options.

Dont be fooled by the outer appearance. The place may look sketchy, but man is it a good mine! As someone who loves both vinyl records and comic book memorabilia, I had a field day there. I wanted to purchase a bunch of old vintage Star Wars cards, an Ink Spots record, and a VHS of Return of the Jedi. All of that in total would have come out to over 50 bucks. I didnt want to spend that money, but I knew Id kick myself in the butt if I didnt get that Ink Spots record. The guy behind the counter saw that I was torn, and he took 50 % off of the cards, bringing the total to a little over 30 bucks. I will definitely be coming back again and again!!!

The weirdest comic book shopping experience Ive had. When you walk up to the door there is a list of NOs on the door which sets you up for the customer service youll receive. They have a HUGE back issue collection and a large amount of toys which was really awesome to see but the prices were completely outrageous. 500% markup on most items. There are more signs through out telling you what you can and cant do which gets kinda annoying. The place is nice, cool and clean but the amount of rules are pretty off putting. If youre going just for comics or instruments its a nice place but if you want customer service go somewhere else.

I stopped by this morning with a backpack filled with books to sell. The man behind the counter was just as pleasant as could be. He bought half the books in my backpack for $20 but couldnt take the rest because the store already had copies of those books (which I can certainly understand). I had thought about going to other places to sell books, but my experience today was so favorable that Ill just come back here from now on.

Just picked up a new set of Electric Bass strings here. wonderful guys excellent customer service for both my wife and I. They have quite an interesting store, most prices better than the big music stores.Excellent comics and collectables too. If there is a vintage amp you want I bet they have it. great selection even zeither, dulcimer, and ocarina. They repainted the shops since this picture was taken its a yellow color now.

Always a pleasure to stop by here, no matter who is working. And there is something for every entertainment lover. Comics, records, instruments, books, shirts, DVDS, etc....if you cant find something here then youre a very boring individual.

Great store--the term "dont judge a book by its cover" certainly applies to this place. New comics, a giant room of back issues will keep you busy for hours! Keep an eye out for their secret sales on back issues!

Great shop, huge back issue selection, realistic prices. Lots of cool rock and roll nostalgia on top of the comics. Best store in Tampa, out of towners should go here first too.

Been with GS since the old days on Florida Ave. If you like quirky old school with worlds of knowledge, go there. Whenever I go to Tampa I stop in and support GS.

Comics, vintage amps, an eclectic collection of guitars, sheet music and collectables. Prices are on the high side, but they excel in acquiring those hidden gems.

Great place to find back issues & guitars. Their back issues are extensive including Japanese titles and magazines. Only complaint is the parking situation.

Bought a mandolin here, going to get a guitar soon. They know their stuff, and share it with you without making you feel silly (for us beginners).

Really cool place. Has a wide variety of comic books, musical instruments, and other memorabilia you would find in a big comic book store.

Awesome selection. Reminds me of a lot of the older places around home. One of those places you can get lost in tons of classic stuff.
