My coworker and I decided to go to Siam, the Thai restaurant at the plaza. This place is a go to for our dept as the food is always so tasty, service is quick, and the ambiance is nice. I do recommend getting there around 11:30 to get a nice table and to beat the wait that comes when the crowds start to arrive. This restaurant is very popular with the people who work at downtown Tampa, like I do, and the prices are nice compared to many other places where youay end up paying more for less food. All orders (dine in) come with a spring roll and a bowl of soup. You can also pick the level of heat in a lot of their menu items.

Franklin Street Mall could use a little more life. The stores that are here are older and dont attract much business. Its great for the lunchtime crowd for downtown businesses, but otherwise not something I would make the trip for.

Love this little strip has the best bar The Hub, and the Tampa Theater, and if you like Thai food theres a great Thai restaurant in the middle. Great for date nights or just to get for the night can or day!

Winding, original brick road surface makes for a step back in time to old Tampa. Combine it with a trip to the historic 1926 Tampa Theatre, and you have a real feel for what life was like years ago.

Place is actually called Si-am Thai. The ambiance was nice and service was great. The food was typical Thai food, but I didnt order anything fancy.

Downtown is amazing but there is no "mall". There are shops in the area because its downtown but again the mall does not exist.

Cool place but plan on a long wait. They told us one to two hours. But you can order to go from the individual vendors.
