Channelside is one of the cooler places to hang out and have a drink in Tampa. Tinatapas has a great indoor and outdoor bar - so you can enjoy the beautiful Florida weather or choose to be in air-conditioning - the choice is yours. Splitsville has bowling and turns into a nightclub on the weekends. Wet Willies has your drink fix and Hooters has wings and beer. There is an IMAX movie theater on the second floor and a Japanese and Thai restaurant - so you have plenty of options on what to do. The shops nearby have been slow to develop, but are coming along and I have no doubt that in the future Channelside will be a huge powerhouse in Tampa as we get further from the 2008 recession. Who wouldnt want to invest in a place so close to the bay?

What a waste of $10, what a waste of time. There is nothing open during the day and Im not even sure anything is open at night. Anything here that was once worthwhile has closed: restaurants, the movie theater, shops, and even the parking ramp is locked. We paid $10 to park under a building to walk around aimlessly in the sun, drink a cup of coffee, pull on locked doors, and to avoid eye contact with the aggressive Hooters hostess. The aquarium is nearby, but good luck not getting trampled if you happen to be here on the weekend. There was a nice little candy store here, but the cashier was too busy making smoothies to sell any chocolate, so I skipped the salted caramels and headed back to civilization.

Actually Channelside is fine except when they decide to shut the whole place down for fireworks on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend. Meanwhile the rest of us locals are just trying to get takeout from one of the restaurants. There was no notice, or any other indications of what was shutdown or why. There are these objects you can buy. They are flat, made of various materials, come in a variety of sizes, and you can write LARGE WORDS EXPLAINING WHAT IS GOING ON. They are called signs, and they have been around since at least ancient Egypt. They are great because you can put them up around your event so us locals do not waste an hour driving around your self-induced automotive constipation.

This is a waste of space. Avoid. Outside of Hooters there is nothing really left. The movie theater is even gone. Nice to look at when ships are in but it lacks the diversity of retail and population density to reach the critical mass to make this are viable. There is virtually no trees in that are and the temperatures are sweltering. The area caters to young childless 20 somethings therefore there is no merchant activity outside of the party hours. Same for surrounding apartments. The area cant survive just on the sale of alcohol. Needs s serious revamp. The whole district.

Meh. The mall has went downhill since other malls have been coming in. Cant wait to see what they are going to do for redevelopments (which includes knocking this place down) but at the same time im gonna kind of miss this place. It is missing so many stores and has potential and i believe what they are going to do to this place can be done elsewhere. There is plenty of space downtown. This mall just felt at home for me for some reason. It had a cuban vibe to it and was very nice to have around. Go before the mall is gone forever. Recommended

Total Crap. The bar in the center was playing live music, the band sounded awesome. However, I was having my bachelorette party. My ladies and I had literally just walked up to this bar and the lead singer jumped down from the stage and placed his tip bucket in front of us. I was sober.... I am from the service industry I get it... why not wait until I have a drink in my hand AT THE LEAST. The bar service was slow we ended up going to Ybor and had a hell of a time.

Quite the selection of things to do, eat, and buy at Channelside. Ive seen many movies and eaten at a few of the restaurants, including: Hooters, Thai Thani, Qachbals Chocolatier, Cold Stone Creamery, Splitsville, and a few others. There is live music at night on the weekends provided by some talented musicians. I would say it has served as a date-night locale as well as a birthday party venue more than a few times and it always reminds me of fun times.

In its heyday it was a destination entertainment center for Downtown Tampa - No w so its more of a torist trap and entertainment center that has lost its life. However, there is hope. Check back here as the entire area will soon be experiencing a revitalization and injection of a ton of cash. I suspect this place will return to being an entertainment destination for tourists and locals. So for now hold tight.

This place has great potential. Hopefully the Downtown Tampa revitalization will really make it shine. Right now the things that are there are nice, but there are too many holes - it should be busier. I spoke to someone at one of the vacancies and was told that they are waiting for some decisions to be made by the city before putting money into development.

The Artisan market every 3rd Sunday of the month, which has new summer hours now starting later in the afternoon and goes until the evening to beat the summer heat lightning watch parties ,other fun happenings, cruise ships docked, restaurants, bowling alley thats retro cool... Fun place!

There was nothing to do here. Splitsville didnt have slushies like the Disney Springs location. Service at Wet Willies was sub-par at best. There was nowhere to sit down and hang out once you have a drink, forcing you to sit at the restaurant or the small bar in the center courtyard area with limited seating. Everything is closed.

My boyfriend and I are from Orlando and stopped by to see the bay while on our way home. Ate at the Mexican restaurant (Hablo Taco) which was DELICIOUS. Jessa (I think was her name) was GREAT. She was so friendly and really made our first experience a fun time. It was worth the stop for nachos and a few beers!

I only stopped in for Wet Willies, so I cant honestly say how good or bad Channelside is for shopping. Bar wise, and for out door scenery, Im a big fan. Great scenery, right on the trolley line, and a fair selection of places to grab a drink with friends means Ill likely stop by now and again.

It has minimal places but the Hablo Taco was great and so was the bartender. I would not recommend LIT because the bartender there acted like we were bothering her. It was uncomfortable. Thank you Hablo Taco for making our experience better. Bartender Friday night at 9:30 8/18/17

Fun. Spacious. Beautiful. Bars and restaurants are awesome and fairly prices. Different shopping boutiques and activities for families and partygoers. Theres even a nightclub. Must visit when visiting Tampa. Florida Aquarium and Port of Tampa are definitely places to visit.
