Tim Martin did a tattoo for me this past weekend at the Ink Mania Expo. I chose a tattoo from his book that consisted of a rose with a lace bow in the realism style. Halfway through tattooing me he tells my boyfriend that he decided to change it up and make it a traditional style tattoo with a realism bow. We did not discuss this. He did not tell me he was doing this and had he discussed it with me I would have told him no and to keep the style as realism. That being said, it is a solid tattoo. I do like it very much and have been getting a lot of compliments on it. Even other tattoo artists at the expo said they really liked it. Although it is a nice tattoo I would have preferred he done it in the style I chose. Had the design looked like a traditional tattoo in his book, I would NOT have purchased it. I would have simply said, "Oh, thats cool.". It is simply unprofessional and poor business judgment to change a tattoo style without consulting the person you are tattooing. This is MY body and that is permanant.. it was not his choice to make.

I came here to get a tattoo of a trail of stars going from my hip onto my ribs... what i got was a blown out tattoo. The lines are squiggly and the entire thing looks permanently bruised and fuzzy. He didnt even shade the stars how i wanted. What i wanted was some soft shading around the edges of the stars and instead he shaded the inside, but it was so harsh the stars just looked halfway colored in. It was a complete disaster. I had to go somewhere else to get it fixed which cost me more money than i expected to spend altogether. The guy just seemed like he wanted to make some quick money and get me out of there fast. I paid $200 for him to rush through the tattoo in less than an hour... needless to say I WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE and i definitely do not recommend this shop to anyone. Maybe it was just my tattoo artist but after that experience i know where not to go.

Went here for a regular ear piercing. Wasnt too happy with the way the front desk girl acted towards me. She was not very friendly and acted like I was crazy for coming there for a regular ear piercing. (I went there because I have trouble healing from piercings and people told me that a needle piercing is better than the gun for healing). Anyways, I ignored the girl and went through with the piercing from Pat. He was really nice, but he totally pierced my left ear crooked! My earring was pointing down to the floor! It was so bad that I had to take it out and let it heal. I waited a few weeks and then went to Moniques in Clearwater. They were amazing and pierced my other ear perfectly! Moniques was way less painful too! Love Moniques! If I ever get another piercing or decide to get a tattoo, I will definitely be going to Moniques!

My experience here was an overall great time. My boy Fred sketched up something for me exactly how I wanted it to look like down to the last dot. The next day I came to the shop super excited to get this piece done, and when I left I couldnt have been more happy with the piece and how the experience went. Fred always makes me feel very comfortable, is patient with you, and let me take breaks when I needed too. He never fails to disappoint. The atmosphere of the shop was super relaxing and chill, everybody who works there are sweet genuine people. Id highly recommend Blue Devil as a tattoo shop you should definitely check out! Thanks again to everyone who made that it a fun time! If you want to see more of Freds work his Instagram is @fufred Ill definitely be back to visit soon!

i was at this shop on monday and totally would never get tattooed here. the store looks nice but the artist grady is a joke. no way i would ever let him tattoo me. his portfolio looks like something out of the 80s and he talked me out of giving him my money like he didnt wanna do it. he was rude as hell and ill never give that place any of my hard earned money. there is plenty of places in ybor that are better. all the good artist there left.i heard all kinda bad stuff about the owner there too. i dont know if any of it is true or not but i really would never trust my body to anyone that has so many haters. it seems like the whole town hates that place. my advice-go anywhere else than blue devil. unless you wanna look like your in Led Zepplin or like being treated like your a fool.

I first came into Blue Devil as a walk in customer with a specific idea for a piece i wanted to get for a relative who had passed. This is when I had the pleasure meeting Ken. His portfolio is awesome and I had no problems trusting him with the piece. He was very clean and professional- not to mention hilarious and SUPER TALENTED. His station is well decorated with all kinds of custom work which led me to ask him about doing some larger pieces for me. Since then Ive been back several times and always send my friends his way. I couldnt be happier to point people in his direction when they complement the beautiful work hes done for me. Cant wait for my next appointment!

This place was so awesome! I went to a bunch of the shops in Ybor and most of them said my Tattoo couldnt be done how I wanted it. Cliff Shepard was the only guy who seemed interested in doing my Tattoo and I am so glad he was because it came out better than I couldve ever imagined! My wife also got a tattoo right after me and hers came out awesome as well! He was very professional and had a great personality! He works very quickly and has a light hand so he wont beat u up! I wouldnt let any other Ybor shop touch me cause these guys r the best! Thank you Cliff Shepard you rock brotha! My Florida tattoo gets complimented everywhere I go!

I couldnt be happier walking into Blue Devil. Shop manager was cool and Ken Dean is such a talented artist. He isnt like most other male artists Ive dealt with. Most of them are cocky. Ken made me feel comfortable right away and expressed a lot of interest in what he was tattooing. He also asked my opinion and gave me his. And I didnt expect my tattoo to turn into the beautiful masterpiece that it is. Very genuine, down to earth and funny guy. He truly loves his job and is extremely good at it! Hopefully he stays in the area because I wouldnt want to go to anyone else! Great experience!

My fiance and I came into Blue Devil looking for a spur of the moment tattoo. We met Cliff Shepard and he drew exactly what I wanted and listened to everything I had to say. He keeps everything simple and makes sure you are getting exactly what you want, Ive never felt more comfortable in a shop. I went back 2 weeks later to get another tattoo and my fiance is currently going to Cliff for his sleeve work. We both get compliments all the time on our clean lines and perfect shading. We will be long time clients of Blue Devil. Thank you Cliff you rock!!
