I got my first and only tattoo done here and I love it! Jarrod did my tattoo. He understood exactly what I was going for in the consultation, gave sound advice when needed, and really conveyed the symbolism I wanted in the tattoo perfectly. When it came time to do the tattoo, he was very accommodating and patient with the absurd amount of breaks I requested. Needless to say I will be going back if I ever choose to do a second tattoo and would highly recommend him and Old 7th Tattoo to anyone. The only reason I am not giving this shop a 5 star rating is because of the lack of professionalism. I found the receptionist to be aloof and not very receptive at all. I know its a tattoo shop but its a business first. Its uncomfortable to be in the shop when a potential customer calls with a question about the tattoo process and after the receptionist gets off the phone, the employees begin to make some unflattering comments about the callers "stupid" question. Situations like that make customers feel uncomfortable and make us wonder what the employees say about us moments after we walk out of the shop. But all in all, I had a great experience here, and as I said earlier, that mild imperfection is not so egregious that I wouldnt return for repeat business or recommend Old 7th to anyone else.

Ive been getting tattoos from Jarrod for quite a while, and he always seems to put himself in a clean professional environment where he can focus on his customer and give them exactly what they want. Old 7th Tattoo is the perfect place for him, as its a clean shop with one of a kind artists & a comfortable environment for their clientele. Every employee & artist is personable, professional & great at what they do. For the 10+ years that Jarrod has been tattooing me, hes always had a "Customer First" mentality. When I bring him an idea, he makes sure to work with me in ensuring the best possible location and coloring for the tattoo. Hes willing to give you the exact design you bring in, but is also very easy to work with in giving you a one of a kind custom tattoo that incorporates your design combines with his artistic styling. I highly recommend this shop as all tattoo experiences Ive had with them have been stellar.

Great experience with Cliff. He did a large black and white design on my upper arm and it came out just as I wanted. The shop is very clean, I am a nurse and asked about biohazardous waste, the germicide they use etc. Even the bathroom was very clean. It was a relaxing atmosphere and not the rough environment many associated with a shop. Vintage touches abound and the pricing is very fair. I highly recommend this shop and Cliff! By the way, I am a 67 year old woman and went in for a consultation first. to be sure both I and the artist were comfortable with each other.

7th Ave Tattoo is the place to go if you are looking for the best artist in Tampa. They have artist for any style tattoo youre looking for. The folks in there are great people and know how to keep the mood light even if you are in some pain. The staff behind the counter can help direct you to the artist that will best suit your needs. Jarrod designed a great old school tattoo that works perfectly with what I already have. My experience was so great that I already have my next session scheduled. Stop in, you wont be disappointed!!

I got a tattoo there and definately will not go back or refer this place to anyone. After spending a few hundred dollars on a cover up which the artist was supposed to finish but half assed, and made excuses on how big of a job it was, it was a cover up, and that it would require another seating etc. He definately is not the place to get quality work done. The staff is kool but the guy I used and was referred to (ken) wont ever see me again nor be reffered or mentioned. Be aware!

Absolutely fantastic. I met with Jarrod in between a busy schedule to work out exactly what would look best and went back the next day to get the tattoo. It was my first tattoo, and I couldnt be more please! Its script, and Jarrod totally killed it. Amazing job. Im really glad I went to 7th Ave. I already have people asking me where I got it and who did it. Overall: great shop, great people. Wish I could give more than five stars.

Jarrod redid a tattoo of mine on my wrist that was not symmetrical, etc. He took what was a disappointing tattoo and turned it into something I love. As well as receiving a great tattoo the overall experience was of a professional studio with great customer service.
