I had the worst experience with Delmas diamond on Dec 12, 2007. It all started the day before when I finally got my loose diamond in the mail and needed to get it mounted into a ring. So I called Delmas to see how long it would take and this guy Frank, the owner, told me it should take one day. So I went up there to drop it off and to choose my ring setting. Frank looks at my diamond real quick and told me my diamond has a really low color and didnt say anything about the clarity. Then, he tries to sell me another diamond with a better color but the clarity was crappy and you can see all the defects without any type of magnification for more money. I told him I wasnt interested and so he walks away to another customer. Well, they didnt have any of the settings available for me to see in person except one that wasnt available in the catalog. A younger staff said that it was a consignment ring and a customer traded it in. He showed me like 4 other types of settings in a catalog so I couldnt really see what they look like. I was hesitant because I want to know what it looks like because this is my engagement ring that I will be wearing all the time. I ended choosing one without really knowing what it looks like. They guy said they can have it done in 6 days. I told him I spoke with Frank and he said it would only take one day so he said it would be ready in 4 days instead. So they already lied to me about the time frame! The younger staff calls me today and went over the prices before ordering it even though Im not sure why they hadnt ordered it the day before since they knew I wanted it it soon. Anyway, I told him I was concered with what the ring would look like and I told him I definitely didnt want it to look like the ring he showed me because it looks like it came from a bubble gum machine. He said he would call me to look at it before mounting it. I said that was fine. A few minutes later, Frank calls me and tells me that he it was an insult for me to call his ring a "bubble gum machine" ring and if I was hesitant about the ring, then I should go somewhere else. I told him that I was concerned with what the ring would look like because the younger staff told me the ring in the catalog would look similar to that ring except the prong was not be on top of the ring but inside the ring. I didnt like that band at all. He bascially insulted me by saying "I dont know why you cant see what the rings would look like from the catalog." The freakin catalog had one side view of the ring! How am I suppose to predict what the actual ring would look like from that stupid 2 dimensional picture! So I decided to pick up my diamond and take it to another shop. When I got there to pick up my diamond, Frank pulls out a setting and asked me if I would have liked that setting. He should have showed me that setting the day before when I was choosing settings not when Im picking up my diamond! And I actually didnt like that setting either! The new shop, Pentaltha , was very nice. They took their time when looking at the diamond and told me the color three levels better than what Frank said it was. He showed real examples of ring settings I could choose from. The catalog had 30 more settings to choose from than Delmas. He explained every setting details to me and treated me like a real valued customer! I wasnt expecting it since I just came from Delmas. And after I chose my ring with him, he told me that it should be ready the next day! I was even more thrilled that it would be ready so soon! Dont buy anything from Delmas Diamonds! Frank treats his customers like crap!

Id give Frank and Bryan 10 stars if I could! I was referred to Delmas by a friend and colleague, as I need a ring resized. I brought the ring to Frank and was pleased with not only the quality of work, but the fairness of price. When I became engaged, my fiance wanted me to help pick out my ring, so we went back to see Frank. He had several loose diamonds, all GIA certified. He also offered the option of ordering any diamond or stone that I wanted. I selected a magnificent stone and worked together with my fiance to design the setting. Frank was very honest throughout the whole process, and did not overcharge at all, especially compared to other local establishments. (Before I had heard of Delmas, I had gone to another local shop who wanted to charge $300 for a mold of a setting, even after it came back entirely wrong and looking like a tiny tire.) Both Frank and Bryan (his son and apprentice) were patient with us and a pleasure to work with. Theyre both committed to their craft and to their customers satisfaction. They will definitely have our business for life, even if we move from Tally!

My fiancée brought home a ruby from Afghanistan and we went to Delma’s to have it appraised. Frank seemed very knowledgeable and gave us an honest opinion, so we decided to have him put the ruby into a ring. I’m very glad we did! Frank was fantastic to work with, really listened to what we wanted, and did this within the price range we requested. Frank has a genuine appreciation for his work and it shows in the ring we picked up yesterday! He created an incredible custom ring that he designed himself that will now be a family heirloom we can be proud to pass down. On top of all that, the diamonds that he used around the ruby are more spectacular than my engagement ring! He has our business for life.

I looked and priced around town quite a bit for engagement rings. Delmas prices and quality were on par, and I appreciated that it was a small family run business. They may have a smaller selection on hand than other stores, but they are very willing to work with you to find, design or customize something that you want. Frank was patient, helpful and understanding of my situation. He found what I was looking for and gave honest advice. They were flexible in my purchase and allowed me to exchange the ring for something else months later when my new finance decided she wanted something slightly different. I really appreciated the understanding and willingness to make us happy!

I had my engagement ring sized by this "jeweler" in January 2009 and to my horrification, my engagement ring broke in the exact spot that the ring was sized just this past weekend! BUYER BEWARE! The provide horrible customer service also. Customer should never feel insulted about their ring or jewelry that they bring in. I was told my ring was poor quality because the diamond was yellow. After having my ring appraised and finding out what it was worth I knew this place was a JOKE! And the owner, Frank, hes very rude. Take your time and find a jeweler that cares about their customers and doesnt make you feel like you have a cheap piece of jewelry.
