Purchased a 2013 Veloster 2 years ago and the car is okay. Doesnt pick up well and doesnt have much torque for a "sports car" but I do enjoy the ride. The reason for my poor rating is for my purchasing experience. I originally purchased the 2012 Veloster which I was in the service department every month fixing issues of some sorts. So it was recommended to upgrade. I evaluated the upgrade option, was assured Id get the same deal as I previously had - close to the same payments and same contract. Well, it was a bait and switch. Last year, I called to verify my APR was 2.9% as I was looking to see if refinancing was a better option... although I was told 2.9%.. I was given 3.9%.. first strike. Two years later, my car has 75k miles on it and needs a repair. My original deal was supposed to have an extended warranty, ensuring I had nothing to worry about - bumper to bumper and anything under the hood. I purposefully did that on my 2012 since I knew I was driving a lot and wanted to be assured if a problem occurred, I would have minimal stress. Come to find out, that ball was dropped also and although I confirmed I wanted the extended warranty and tire plan, it was not given. Now that I need a repair.. there is no extended warranty and it will not be fixed - radio is not syncing to phone, freezes throughout drive in phone mode if a call comes in and is declined, and the time is stuck at 10:00 (this radio has given me continuous problems and has been replaced once before). So my initial promise of "same deal" was not given, and I was screwed twice - on my APR and extended warranty. I cannot say if it was on purpose or simply a mistake, but since it was my responsibility to make sure the contract was correct, it was my fault for not catching it. I do feel like I may have been taken advantage of since I was young and this was the first car I purchased on my own; since I stated extended warranty and was told id be given a 2.9% to bring my payments down, that I will hold the finance department accountable for. I will not purchase from this location again. BTW, I called and contacted a rep via facebook to figure out who to speak with but received no response. Next, I can go in and throw a fit, but that is beyond my nature. I know now how to make sure I get what I was promised in the future and although it is unfortunate, it is my responsibility to review the contract. Its just shameful to be mislead and taken advantage of the way I did. Burn me once, shame on you. Burn me twice, shame on me. *After reading the most recent comments, this is not the first time this happened and it seems I should also review whether my GAP insurance purchased at the time of contract is valid also.. something more I need to review and make sure its not a strike three.

Dont believe any of the marketing materials you receive for this dealership!! Received ad saying 120% above black book for trade+ 0% financing + double rebates, and of course all sorts of free gifts with purchase. I was looking at a Santa Fe Se, with the 7 passenger option. My family and I were multiple repeat customers! My folks bought two used vehicles, my grandparents had bought 4 vehicles, and my wife and I bought one, so we were confident we could get a deal. We had seen the SE in iron frost on there own website for $28,748, we were taken to a vehicle that was over $32,000 and when I mentioned seeing a different price with $2500 in rebate, the sales man acted like he knew what I was talking about, but during the sales process we were told they would try and work a deal... So the sales person went back and forth, saying he was working a deal, even though he Took a smoke break (reeked of smoke when he came back). He then came to check out vehicle. Questioned the air conditioning quality, even though we complained about it to Hyundai service department multiple time at their dealership in Wesley chapel just to be told it needed to run for a few cause the Vera Cruz had multiple compressors which had to run until it cooled down, and our car being black also didnt help. We finally got passed that just to be told they would offer us $6k for our car which was getting between $8k and $10k on blue book value and selling for anywhere from $11k to $14k at various dealerships...so much for their special. They then pulled their usual lease price / purchase price jargon on a sales page to price out the SE Santa Fe for $500 to $566/ month. Even though they are leasing the sport model which msrp is $25k for $200 and SEs for $380. All I can say is shady! Then they bring the sales manager out, after I walked away to try and explain their "deal" was insulting! I dont need him to divide a $32k car into 72 months to show me a payment, what he should have done was use the online advertised price of $28k and not be talking about how he is $8k away from earning my business because my car was not worth paying off.We as a family will not buy from this auto group anymore!!! I have met Mr. Fink during my previous buying experience and he seemed like a stand up guy, but I guess when you are trying to become the "giant" you forget the people who support you and are loyal to their company, because this is where their parents parents buy there cars, and their folks after them! You will sell cars with 0 down, 0% interest all day but when it comes to paying of a trade of their own make they dismiss it as junk!! Be weary of their tactics and I challenge Mr. Fink to make good on his slogan of "our volume saves you money"!

I just purchased my 5th NEW car from the Best Dealership I have ever in my life bought a new car from and Ive been buying new cars since 1976. At other dealerships I wind up talking to the New Car Manager at some point to negotiate the trade/deal I want to make. I dont have to do that here because the salesman Ive dealt with on each of my 5 purchases over the last many years has become like a family friend. Hes proven himself to be honest, plain talking and professional - Robert Schlopy. I tell Robert what I want for my trade, we make a deal on the car Im purchasing and he gets it approved - for what I want to do. Ive done my homework before I go to the dealership, on the car I want to buy, but honestly Robert and the folks at New Port Richey Hyundai make car buying easy. If I change my mind after Ive said okay to a deal on a car (like my wife did on this buy), nobody gets excited. We looked first at the 2013 Sonata Limited...and loved it; made a deal and said wed buy right then and then walked out in to the lot while they worked up the paperwork. Then in the lot my wife so a 2013 Sonata Limited 2.0T (dual exhaust turbo) and immediately changed her mind. This was the car she wanted! I went in stopped told Robert who stopped the process and went and got the key for the Sonata Turbo which the wife took for a test drive and confirmed this as her new choice. Again we negotiated the numbers, made easier by the agreement wed already reached on our trade and in no time flat, we were driving home in an absolutely beautiful new Sonata with blue tooth, navigation and even backup camera! A bonus was to find that we got 26 mpg driving in the Tampa Bay area from Pinellas to Hillsborough County. Of course Ive been having my cars serviced at this dealership as well, and the Service guys at this dealership bend over backwards to get things done in your time. It just a fantastic dealership. Look, if you go there - Just tell them youre there to see Robert Schlopy - hey call ahead and ask for Robert in sales. I promise you, you wont be sorry you did. I never for the life of me thought Id be saying of car folks....these are nice people! At this dealership, these are indeed nice people. While others may talk about ethics and honesty and fairness, at this Hyundai dealership the live it - from sales floor to the service department, they say what they mean and mean what they say!
