Amazingly helpful and knowledgeable staff. You can park directly behind them (theres a city-owned lot behind them, between Lincoln on the south and 17th on the north). Drive down Alton, right at Lincoln, enter the little lane on your right. Parking! Yes, you have to pay, but I just paid $0.50 for 15 mins to find the elusive microwave bulb that had burned out. The staff member found what I was looking for in seconds. It worked. Im >happy to pay 50 cents to find what I need. Yes, the store is claustrophobic. Thats because rents on SoBe are astronomical. I hope this place thrives. Ive been going there for years. Once, with my right hand in a sling, I just brought my entire desk lamp in and asked what bulb I needed to replace the burned out one. The assistant found the right bulb in a second, and then took a look at my hand and asked, would you like me to replace it for you? Would I ever! Another time, my loo stopped flushing. Disaster in a 1-bath apartment. The super told me I needed a new valve of some kind. He dismantled the entire mechanism in the tank, I washed it, and went to this store. The assistant knew immediately what I needed, but said, we dont stock too many Toto parts. (Toto being the maker of my loo.) Try [another store] across the street. Then he said, wait. Come here; look at this. He checked it and said, thisll fix your toilet for a few weeks, until you get the right part. Loo still flushing two years later. Amazing, great local store.

I dont know if Ace read the reviews and fixed things, or if I had a lucky day. I was there yesterday with a random assortment of things to buy, and the second I walked in an employee met me and asked what I was looking for. He knew all the aisle #s. I got lost finding my landlords unusual halogen bulbs, and an older employee asked what the problem was. I showed him the empty package, and he found a youngster employee to show me where they were (buried on the next-to last shelf from the floor). I bought four AC filters and was having difficulty getting them to the cash register along with all my accumulated purchases, so one fell to the floor. In a second, an employee was at hand to pick it up for me. They checked me out quickly and then held on to my shopping bag when I remembered something else. 5 stars for service and for saving me from driving off the beach to home depot!

Tell this self fulfilling prophecy. I avoid going to this store. people are rude, never helpful and the prices at least twice compared with homedepot. But being near my house and the only one open Sunday had no option. Simply wanted to make a copy of my house key. I was told somebody would eventually show up for my key copies. After waiting for 15 minutes and I asked for the staff I was waiting, was told in a rude manner: "keep on waiting!" After another 15 minutes decided to leave. When I got home I realized that I left the original key to be copied at the counter. And it was the only one I had. Not only they are bad. In previous visits had similar experiences but I allow them to take control of my emotions so I ended up paying the consequences. Will never return to that store. Bad services bad karma.

Ive been going here for a few years and have never had an experience that was bad or anywhere near what some people claim in reviews here. All the staff are very helpful and great at asking if they can help you find anything if you look confused or lost. They dont have an enormous selection of things given the relatively small area of the store, but they sure do pack it in.This is a great place to find any type of household item. The odds and ends in the hardware is where they are lacking, but all the main stuff is there.

because they are the only hardware store in south beach they believe that they can treat the customers anyway they want to.generally extremely rude,.i was born an raised in miami beach and i personally reccommend anyone reading this to avoid this business and tell everyone you know to also avoid this store.we won t even get into there absurdly ridiculous prices

Staff is always helpful. If I dont see what I need, I always ask and they will scale a ladder and bring it down. Prices may be higher than the big box store, but it is great to have the convienience of a walking distance hardware store with knowlegable staff.

The best hardware store in town (actually the only one). They have everything I need, from key making machine to paint and supples etc. Very friendly and attentive staff, in and out in few min everytime! No free parking but thats how it is everywhere in sobe.

DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THEY SELL LAYOUT BOARD AT THIS ACE HARDWARE? Remodeling my kitchen and like to use the layout board to cover the floors. If anyone knows where I can find layout board in Miami Beach- please direct me! Thank you.

Ordered something online for pickup that was on sale. Received an e-mail over 4 hours later that they actually sold out and do not have it stock. Thank you South Beach Hardgoods for ruining my change of getting the item elsewhere!

Those guys are very unfriendly. I spend there a hundred bucks but finally they are dont want find me a tool for small screw. Cross a street to plumbing and electric supply and you will get a results

Too expensive.......better to spend gas to go to Home Depot. The store is suffocating.....10 customers inside and the store becomes overcrowded.
