Terrible service!!!!! Went to by fabric and some trim. the fabric I grabbed from the red tag sale shelf. It had a big sticker that said "3 Yards $7.00" it was a final sale. When i got to the cutting table for my 8 yards of trim, there was a group of women with literally shopping carts filled with fabric rolls, dozens of them. They were purchasing the entire rolls and wanted the associated to unroll and measure everyone of them. By the way, the customer in this case was being very rude to the associate and no manager was around to do anything about it. Another associate came by to help and called the next customer. Another woman from the same group said she was the next customer and continued bringing shopping carts filled to the top with fabric rolls. In the mean time, another customer and myself waited patiently as nobody even acknowledge our presence. After 45 minutes of waiting, I decide to leave my trim and just pay for the rest. When I got to the cash register, a very untrained employee told me that although my fabric was clearly marked as a $7.00 remanent I still had to go to the cutting table and and get it "officially" measured. This woman had been to the cutting table several times during my 45 minute wait and was pretty aware of the situation. Still, refuse to help me. I ended up leaving all my purchases on the counter and leaving. Upon exiting, I asked for the manager. She pleasantly told me he was not around. No wonder Joan Fabrics is closing stores left and right. This store is the one in Margate, Florida. If you need any supplies, please dont aggravate yourself by going to this customer service forsaken store. From now on, i get my crafting supplies at Walmart. I there was a 0 star rating, thats what I would give this store.

This is a fun place to go for all your sewing and crafting needs. They have the biggest selection of fabric in the area. Okay, I know this isnt saying a lot, but at least its something. There are sewing machines and accessories and notions. The crafting section has a large variety of supplies for all kinds of crafting projects from bird houses to fabric painting. There are always current seasonal favorites, like gingerbread house kits. The prices are generally reasonable. The best thing is that you are allowed to "stack" coupons and there are always plenty available, along with different store specials. The big issue here is a lack of sales associates when you need to check out. Ive never been there when we didnt have to wait for an unreasonably long time to check out. This seems to be prevalent with the chain. It doesnt matter which location we go to, its always the same. I even read a review of a location in CA that had the same complaint. If they would make it easier to get in and out, Id probably give it 4 stars, but I get tired of the same issue all the time.

Everything was good except the unpleasant experience at the check out. There was only 1 cashier available while there are more than 10 people lined up to pay. I literally had to waited more than 20 minutes standing while she was helping a customer who was returning bunch of items. She shouldve (couldve) called a manager asking for help to back her up, but she didnt until I walked up to find another clerk in the store. Finally i paid my item but again, this girl had an attitude. Worst customer service ever.

Just not as well stocked as others. People that work there are nice and try to be helpful. The store itself while looked to be new looked poor maintained in some areas and packages of items resealed but missing key items (possible returns?)

Love this place! I always find what I need for my craft projects. Lines are usually long because they always seem to be understaffed. But the employees are always nice and helpful. Dont forget your coupons!

The Jo-Ann Fabrics website still claims that one of their stores is at this location. I found out the hard way... wasting 45 minutes of driving only to find out that its now a Dollar Tree. :(

Dont listen to those saying its closed. Store is open. Dollar tree is in the plaza east of 441. JoAnnes is in the plaza WEST of 441. Off Turtle Creek! So go! Drive there! :-)
