I stopped by last Tuesday with my girlfriends car because have got a flat tire the night before. We have busy schedules so its hard to go anywhere during business hours and she travels a lot for work. I called and Junior was the first person Ive spoked to that asked if me or my girlfriend were ok? He told me that they should be able to take care of me that day as well. I arrived about an hour later that I said I would and once I was able to speak to Junior he said they had less than a half hour left. I explained my concern about driving on a spare till Saturday because of my work schedule. Him and Andrew the tech, talked and decided they should look at the car. No only was I on a spare. Two tires were down to the metal and one fire has two nails in it. I felt their concern for me and their willingness to help. They explained that it would be dangerous to drive around like that and a miracle something wrong hasnt happened. So we went back inside the shop and Junior found a great deal on four tires! I now Had four new tires and felt a huge weight off my shoulder. Since it was around 8 pm (they close at 7pm) when they finished the car. I paid and was ready to go. I go to turn on the car and of course. The car doesnt turn on! They were already pretty much closed up so I knocked on the door and explained my car wouldnt turn on. At this point. I was panicking and had no idea what was going on. Junior and Merele ( another tech) quickly stopped what they were doing to see what was wrong. They gave me a jump and Merle tested my alternator to be sure and said it was just may battery. I asked about a battery and they sold me one and by the time I payed Merle had already installed it and I was on my way home. I cannot begin to express my gratitude for each one of these gentleman. Any other place would have sent me packing or told me to wait till the next day or even gone to check my car when I said I was driving a spare or even taken a look or mentioned my other tires. I feel like they were genuinely concerned about me when they saw all four tires and also when the car would not turn on. Even when I mentioned my budget they tried theyre best to get me quality fire within my budget range. Other places just tried to upsell me and give me unnecessary things. Or how Merele wanted to double check if my alternator was good. They didnt have to because my car was on. But they cared enough to do it. If your searching for a place that not only do phenomenal work, but has a dedicated team from management to techs that work to serve their customers this is absolutely they place to go. Thank you so much Pep Boys! With the team I worked with today Ill be a customer for life.

Since my relocation to Jacksonville I was regularly going to Pep boys for all my Honda 2004 repairs and maintenance. Never had any problems. Rick is always polite and advised appropriate needs. Recently I visited for Oil change and requested them to check the reason for rocking sound from engine.I thought there might be blot lose in front. Rick came up with $1100 repair for lower arm/bar replacement both sides with ball joint. He was kind enough to consider for $980. It was a shock for me. So I told I will schedule apt on weekend as it needed more time and I have no other car. My friend suggested me to check price at Auto parts. There they gave price as $230 and said lower Bar/ arm never need ball joint. Then I got doubt about this repair.....I still trusted Rick. Then I called a local mobile mechanic for a second opinion, he came and checked my car while I was in work and said your car is perfect but your front wheel all bolts are lose, ... it was about to come out... you are luck nothing major happened...I tightened all .He charged $20. To my surprise my car has no rocking... it is perfect. But I trusted Rick so much that I decided to check in big place. Then I went to Good Year free 29 point check. They gave a computer report saying I need alignment and all upper, lower arms ball joint for upper arm are good. I still trusted my buddy Rick... then went to Honda for alignment and asked them to check control arms. They did alignment and said My car is in perfect shape. Then I realized the Pep Boys Scam. I would have been innocent victim of Pep Boys customer looting. I do not know why they wanted to do this to me. I was loyal to Pep Boys for 3 years. This could be the manager or worker inefficiency. What pissed me most was they could not even see my lose left front wheel. What ever defense they have ... they suck.... Please be aware and cautious about this place. One star for my 3 years service to them. I do not know how much they cheated me in the past.

Very disgusted and obviously lied to by Rick and Corey the last two days at the Jacksonville Baymeadows location. After coming in a day ago for minor service, an oil change and brake check, pep boys and the boys are still at it a day later. 2 days for what should take 2 hours. Yesterday the problem was they didnt have the brake pad and had to order it. Yo - its a Ford 150 and your Pep Boys. Go to your store down the street and get them. Let it go, Rick says it will be done in the morning. Then I was told late this morning after calling about why its not done Corey says "Your rotors are on the lathe now". Truck should be done in an hour, maybe 1 1/2 hours. 2 hours later, they want to add a wheel bearing replacement. They say a loose wheel. This should have been noticed yesterday when checking the brakes, not a day later. I verify with them first that the truck will be done early afternoon, then OK the extra work. I come to the shop late this afternoon and see different - the rotors are still on the truck, brakes not even done, basically the truck has hardly been worked on since my check on it yesterday. No one even working on it. Obviously lied to. After voicing my frustration with this, mechanics come work on the truck. I watch the back rotors come off and over to the lathe. Lied to about that. Stand in manager Corey says they ordered the wrong bearing part, mumbles the truck didnt need it anyways. 2 days for minor work. Would be 3 if I had not come in and called them out on it. It seems the only way to get them to work on it is to sit in the shop and glare or its back to the end of the line. No apologies on the way out. No real manager on site to talk to. Very disappointed. Had good experiences at Pep Boys before this. Definitely not coming back to this location ever again. Good mechanics, very bad management.
