I will not recommend this man, Charles to anyone if I had a horse that need a horse shoe repaired I wouldnt take my horse to him. He charged me $20 to cut the heels down on a pair of shoes. You could see between the tap and its connection to the heel. I pointed out to him he had messed up the material on both heels and asked him what happen? He than tells me I owe him an extra $10 for asking him what happen to the heels. He than tells me to get off of his property that I was trespassing and if I didnt leave he was going to call the police. I told him to go ahead call the police because I was going to show them how he messed up my shoes. He than had the nerves to tell me to shut up and get in my car and leave. I tell you I thank God Im not like I use to be. I want to let everyone know this man is a rip off. He works in this clutter, nasty building, and claims to be a Christian. Making comments he use to belong to the Potter House and the Potter House is an cult. I ADVISE EVERYONE MALE AND FEMALE DONT TAKE YOUR SHOES OR ANYTHNG TO THIS MAN. This man is creepy!! Oh he even threaten me by saying he was going to call my job. Stay away from the so called , jack leg shoe repair man that hides behind God. This man is touched!!!!! I believe he will be the next SERIAL KILLER ON TELEVISON. He claims to have two shoe repair stores King Style Shoe & Boot Sales & Repair, 11884 Hamilton St. Jacksonville, Fl and in Arlington, Arlington-Westside Dove Shoe & Boot Sales & Svcs, 1326 Cesery Blvd. (where he kept trying to get me to come.) These two stores are operated by the same person/man Charles. Why waiting on the police to come as he claimed he called but didnt a lady pulled up and I asked her does she do business with him regularly and she stated she and her mother called the police and had them to go with them to get a sewing machine back from Charles that he had kept for over mos and kept giving them the run around. So this why I state dont do business with this man at either locaton!!!!!!!!! You will regret it if you do!!!!! Dont get me wrong I buy a lot of shoes and if I see a cute pair of shoes I like with a heel that is too high I always get the heels cut down. But I was trying to find someone close to where I live on the West side. I usually go to Orange Park and pay no more than $15 and they do an excellent job. Believe me I learned my lesson.

My wife dropped off a pair of shoes a week ago for repair. Charles, the owner, seemed nice enough. She made small talk while waiting and he asked if she liked to read. She responded yes, she did. He said he had lots of books and asked if she was interested in any. She asked if he had any LDS books (were LDS..Mormon) and he responded that he might. I dont remember the rest of the conversation from that day but I do remember that he went on to leave messages on her voice mail, each one as long as the system allows. She played them for me that night. I started off laughing because he was rambling about Joe Smith being a drunkard, The Book of Mormon blah, blah, blah, we dont worship the same Jesus Christ as the rest of Christianity, etc. To me, he sounded like he was drunk, not making any thoughts connect. After the first I thought, "Oh well. " after the 6TH MESSAGE I was beginning to get a aggravated that somebody that was supposed to be repairing my wifes shoes would dare ask and leave such messages. I decided to not shake the boat, let him repair her shoes and let it be. Today she went to pick up her shoes. He asked if she had listened to the messages. She responded that she had indeed and that it didnt matter to her what other people thought about her faith, she was where God wanted her and that was good enough for her. That wasnt good enough for Charles. After what seemed like an eternity trying to just pick up her shoes, being told at every opportunity that she was being misled, that she had been brainwashed, that she was being emotional as she tried to respond to his accusations, she and my son were finally able to leave with her shoes. Charles is a member of a prominent Southern Baptist religion that seems to have a thing for Mormons. From what many seem to know about Mormons and Joseph Smith it would appear that the weekly sermons preach more about Mormons than they do about Christ. Sad. I would never go to this place of business nor send my wife or anyone else I care about there.

This is charles..owner & opetator of King style shoe & boot sales & service.. Google should hear both sides of a Story before they post it because Otherwise it causes alot of confusion.. For one month, our nearest competitor Was on vacation..so i was fixing all of our regular customers shoes plus all of Theit customers who were coming to Me hoping to bring all of their business To me instead..we were very busy trying to Keep up with both..i couldnt fix everything As soon as they wanted even though i Tried..so they got mad at me..i gave Them better service, so i had to charge More..that is really what they got mad About..i train our customers not to Jump to conclusions, but it is difficult To do that with people who are not Used to carrying on long discussions (Our competitors are korean & their English is 1st grade)..i have to be patient With new customers who want to rush In & to drop something off with no Discussion (with each customer i Average 10-15-30 minutes)..we are A Christian Bookstore so there is always Somethingto talk about..we carry John Grisham & james patterson, Etc. also..all bookstores are somewhat Disorganized on busy days at least.. They may look in disarray, but that Is just temporary until the end of the day.. Some people like books & some people Have absolutely no use for them..some People forget the advice that i give them, Which is most of the time valuable, but After a coupke of days their thoughts Get all jumbled up in forgetfulness..& Then they can no longer be thankful For the details..i have to remind them, But if they continue to bemad, then there Is no need for me to try to help them.. Their prejudices have overridden their Caution to be calm & rational & controlled By logic & facts & truth

I would never recommend this place! It took him a week to fix the shoes, and when I got there he never told me that I needed cash (he didnt accept debit or credit cards and that is something he never told me when I dropped off the shoes). So when I came back with cash, he had no change. So he insisted that I buy something else in the store. The total of my purchase was $16, and I had a $20 bill. At that point, I just told him to make me a key and to keep the extra change. When I finally got the shoes they werent fixed. The shoes had broken elastic, and I noticed that he had just put glue all over the elastic in order to fix it. When questioned about why he only used glue, he refused to tell me about how he fixed the item and said that he would charge me money in order to learn how to fix shoes. It was my first time using this gentleman, and I will never ever go back. His store is cluttered and it smells terrible. And I dont think that he is a very balanced person in general. I very much support and appreciate small businesses, but I cannot support this establishment because of the lack of customer service and the fact that he never fixed the item that needed to be fixed and he still charged me full price.
