My future wife and I were looking for a venue that would capture the beauty and natural wonders of life to celebrate our special wedding day. When we went to Heathcote Botanical Gardens in Ft. Pierce, we knew we were done searching. The Gardens provided the perfect atmosphere and setting for all of our desires; from the wedding, to all pictures, to the reception, nothing could compare to what we were looking for and our budget. The best part is that the facility was closed to the public and we had the whole place to ourselves. Thank you Myriam and Taylor for providing such an amazing venue experience, you definitely exceeded our expectations!! We look forward to coming back very soon.. :-)

Heathcote is a small, but beautifully crafted, attraction in the Fort Pierce area. They are ranked #1 or #2 on TripAdvisors "Things To Do", which gives testimony to the uniqueness of their exhibits, especially the James J. Smith Bonsai Gallery. The volunteers are enthusiastic and veyr knowledgable. Definitely worth a visit if youre passing by and if you live in the area, consider a relationship with them. They could certainly use our help to beautify our community.

Huge variety of plants in a small, easily walkable garden. One of the largest mature Bonsai gardens in the United States. Herb garden, Tropical Rainforest, many types of trees. Special events include Pioneer Days and Christmas lights with Santa. Pavilion avaliable for special events, perfect for a beautiful wedding. A hidden gem in Ft. Pierce, Florida.

Very well done gardens. Lots of interesting side gardens in different themes such as an herb garden, a large collection of bonsai, a Japanese garden, large air plant collection, native plants, and more. The acreage of the botanical garden is small, but it is used so effectively it can take several hours to wander all the paths.

I love the Heathcote botanical gardens! I just went last night to see the Garden of lights! The lights were so beautiful, loved the butterfly garden, big Santa polar bear, the water and fountain, the yummy cupcakes and taking a photo with Santa!

This place is phenomenal ! Tucked away just off the main road it offers tranquility in their wide array of tropical plants and winding passages. Their Japanese Garden and HUGE James Smith Bonsai Galley makes this garden a true hidden gem.

This is another favorite botanical garden. Lots to see here, and they have a variety of sections with different themes. Check out the Japanese house in the back and the amazing selection of bonsai.

Very cute botanical garden, the Christmas light walk through is worth the 5 dollars. Adorable Santa and Mrs. Clause. Its a very nice display.

The gardens were enjoyable, but the price of admission was a little high for the size of the place. They charge $8 per ticket.
