While the place was clean and the staff was fairly friendly, we pushed me to add a tip before my service had even been fulfilled. (Strike one) They over charged me by at least 40% what all theyre nearby competitors were charging for the same piercing service, (Strike two) but I went through with it because they assured me that the up charge was because they make sure their piercings are surgical steel... well, they are not! (Strike three!) The bar might be but the balls that screw on to the bar piercing were most definitely not! I have a tendency to have allergic reactions to fake jewelry so when my piercer stated that they are a bit more expensive, it was because "they make sure they buy the good stuff" yet I spent almost 10 months waiting on my industrial piercing to heal and it only seemed to get worse and worse and the time passed. I have several cartilage piercings and even had my tongue pierced, in all of my experiences, Ive healed fairly quickly, yet this one would not regardless of what Id use to clean. I was desperate for it to heal and after the usual saline solution just didnt make a difference, I tried natural stuff like tea tree oil which I use for several other things, still nothing. It wasnt until I changed out the jewelry that it took only a couple of days for my piercing to look significantly better! It only took a month without their over priced jewelry my piercing was 100% healed! Ill never go back or recommend it to anyone for a piercing!

The nicest and most professional shop on all of Fort Lauderdale Beach. Chris "Purple Eye Wimpy" has removed and re-pierced one of my back dermals, changed out the tops of my dermals to new fancy ones and after 15 years finally re-peirced my belly button properly from when I was a kid. He is always professional, knowledgeable and takes great care to make sure the client (me) is comfy. As of now, he is the only one that I would let pierce me, I know that I am going to get a great result and a great healed result. What can I say, I have know Julian Louis Spaan for about 7 years now. Here is a veteran in the industry with the old school, meets new school mentality. Not only does he own and manage the shop in an inviting way, top-notch way, his work is AAA first class. I have several tattoos by Julian and I am NEVER disappointed with the result. If you are looking for a TRUE ARTIST of 20 years....hurry up and make an appointment. They say when you love what you do, you never work a day in your life. Its completely evident that Julian loves what he does because it reflects in his work tend-fold. Some might say I am bias because we are a couple, but his work speaks for itself. PERIOD.

My sister and I visited the area right before Christmas, and knew we wanted to get our next tattoos while in the area. While browsing online, my sister came across Turtles work and we really liked it, so we called ahead and off we went. When we arrived, everybody there was very fun, welcoming, and down to Earth! My sister and I got the same tattoo in different spots. Jess did mine and Turtle did hers. They were very reasonable with pricing, especially being near a tourist area. We all talked the entire time there. Jess has very gentle hands! Found out she is from NJ just like us, and is actually local to us! We have no idea how or why we ended up at Monsters Ink, but I guess things work out for the best! We know if we are ever in the area again, we would definitely be back. Jess mentioned that she and Turtle may be guest spotting up in the Staten Island area in the Spring, which makes my sister and I very excited to hopefully get to have more work done by them! And now that its almost 2 weeks later, I can tell you my tattoo healed very well and the color held up wonderfully! Thank you Jess and Turtle!!

Hands down, Monsters Ink is the best tattoo and piercing studio Ive been to. Everyone is so friendly, unlike some tattoo shops that seem condescending or can make you feel intimated and not welcomed. Tattoos and piercings should be a fun experience (duhhh) and Monsters Ink has gotten it right! I walked in to talk about a possible tattoo and walked out with a new piercing -- not because they forced a sale on me, but because of how comfortable and welcomed I felt. The place exudes a fun atmosphere -- perfect for their Fort Lauderdale beach location! As a local, its the only shop Ill go to now, and I would recommend it to both locals and tourists alike! Julian is crazy talented at what he does, Chris made it so I questioned if I even had gotten a piercing (zero pain, and Im a baby), and the rest of the crew are equally as amazing and will make sure youre laughing and having a great time while youre there. Ill be back for sure! Thanks, guys!

Julian did an awesome job on my last tattoo. I went in there with an idea from one of my favorite artist, Drew Brophy, we discussed what I wanted it to look like. He drew it up, put his own twist on it. He takes his time to discuss what you want and tells you why he did what he did to the design. He is easy to work with and will listen to you and offer his opinions. He knows what will look good and what will not. I cant tell you how many people have told me that my tattoo looks amazing and approach me to talk about it. Definitely compliments on it wherever I go. I would recommend Julian and his studio to anyone who is looking to get ink. His attention detail is unreal, I have a piece of artwork on my body now.

Kelly and Julian are very talented artists!!! Years of experience and pursing there dream -- "just born with this amazing artistry" in both of them is awesome ! Kelly takes time with you, she is professional, clean, friendly, willing to talk with you and getting to know you, and listening about what you want. I found this was so important. I felt like there was no need to rush, she felt the same. I have checked out Kellys portfolio and examples, prior to deciding on my tattoo and was amazed with her talent and professionalism! I normally "shop to I drop" but, that is not happening here! This is my shop!!

Ive been here twice in a week. And thats just because how awesome these people are. Chris and Turtle have taken such good care of me and my friend for piercings. The first time i went was by a referral from another friend and I dont regret it. They were professional and still friendly with a relaxed atmosphere. While waiting for the sterilization to be done we chit chat and joke around. And this second visit Turtle was happy to make sure my questions were answered about my healing and my friends piercing is perfect and she said it barely even hurt. Awesome job guys we will see you again soon!

walked in looking to get a tattoo I have herd ppl talking about this shop so I thought id give them a try so when we pulled up out front it looks like a hole in the wall very dingy looking we decided to go in anyway just to look around the staff here are not very welcoming or kind they really just ignored us and talked amongst each other any way this is not the place to come if your looking to feel comfortable this would have been my second tattoo but it didnt happen oh well your loss try to pay people more attention thats part of good customer service I wouldnt recommend anyone go here
