First I would like to apologize for the long post! I came to Tattoo Blues in Oct. of 2016, so not too long ago, and I had got my industrial piercing and two other cartilage piercing like 2 or 3 weeks later. I thought everything was fine, even though it take a while for the bumps on the top part of the industrial to finally go down and the bumps on the two other piercing I got done here still wont go down even though I take care of it like I should. The only thing I that was weird with the piercing was with the top part of the industrial. I am able to feel the bar through my skin and its so close to the outer part, I thought it was weird but I brushed it off. Fast forward to now, yesterday I got my septum and nose pierce by Amato, which is a professional piercing shop because I didnt want to go to a tattoo shop for these type of piercings and I always felt... weird... talking to the people in the shop. Like Im already awkward and have a hard time talking to people, but I just got a cold vibe from the people there and I always felt awkward and like they didnt really talk to me or answer my questions. But that could just be me since I already have a hard time talking to people. But anyways, the piercer looked at the industrial and told me that the top part of my industrial look like it was done wrong, that its going through the skin and not the cartilage and if it was ever to snag on something and rips out, I would end up with a flap and would need plastic surgery on my ear to fix it. After she pierce my nose and septum, she called her boss in and he looked at. He confirm her statement and even told me that the reason why my piercings keep having the bumps is because Im ALLERGIC to the material, which I had no idea about. I have other piercings in my ear on my lobe that was there for more than 4 years and had no idea. And I had went back to Tattoo Blues to the same guy who did the industrial and he LOOKED at it after he did the two cartilage piercings and said it looked fine but it wasnt, even during that point in time you can see that the piercing was through my skin and not the cartilage. The boss told me that I will have to take all the jewelry out my ear, minus the two cartilage and the industrial for the risk that it will close, and let my ear heal for while and that he will readjust the top part of the industrial for 50 to 70 dollars, which Im not complaining about because that plastic surgery would cost a lot more, and that I have to wear jewelry made out titanium for now on. I learned this all in the span of a little over an hour and I go back to that shop on the first of July to get my situation handle. So thanks for nearly ruining my ear!!!

So my boyfriend and I live in South Florida and decided to go and get matching tattoos. We chose this quote that we felt represented love. It was a little after 12am. So we decide to hit up Tattoo Blues. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by the artist there. The place was really clean and areas were open so u see everything the artist is doing. Our tattoo artist was Julian. He is the best tattoo I have come across. My boyfriend and I talked to each other the entire time. He had us laughing the whole visit, Julian may seem quiet but the guy is talented and funny we are absolutely going back again. Best experience every. If you live to laugh and want the best artist in South Fla than ask for Julian when you go. By the way the price was very affordable. Remember it quality and I give him an A+.I have bragged on facebook and Instagram. lol

One of the guy didnt have any patience to listen what I wanted on my skin, to negotiate or convince me about the size of the image. We only exchanged two words and he told me "that little is not going to be nice and Im not going to put name under a tattoo that is not going to be nice". First of all, you will never put your name in my skin. Second, if the result is not nice the person suffers more than your name. I got my tattoo in the studio next to the Monster Ink and Im more than happy with the result. Zach have me the time to explain what I wanted, he helped me to decide transforming on the computer the little images I had selected. Unfortunately, I can not post a pic to show you. Please dont forget that who makes a tattoo is an artist, certainly, but you guys dont exist without our skins.

Iconic tattoo place in Florida. Clean and very helpful staff. We were in town for a family wedding and were staying at a hotel across the street. I walked in earlier in the day with my wife who wanted to get her first tattoo. My older cousin was also interested in getting his first piece and walked in and was greeted by Alex. Alex took the time to make him comfortable and designed a great piece for him. Alex also helped create a piece for my wife and she loved it. The owner is also a great guy and took the time to converse with us. He’s an old school NY guy that’s been around and has some interesting stories. They might be a little expensive but I’m a believer that you get what you pay for! I’m anxiously awaiting the reality show.

First tattoo there they gave my the wrong instructions on care for side of the finger tattoos, and almost lost it completely had I not ignored them half way through. Second tattoo the artist did the entire thing with a lining needle and left heavy damage. As soon as he was done he went and did piercings for 25 minutes before wrapping it; the whole time Im trying to keep it moist with a water bottle. Asked for a napkin to clean up the blood, yes I was still bleeding, and was told hed be right with me and continued to do piercings. Just...I mean....I live here, I know your tourists mean a lot to your business, however I paid full price and got half service. Step up your concern for locals before you become another tourist trap.

My girlfriend and I were in Ft Lauderdale a couple of weeks ago on a mini vacation. Due to all the rain and wanting to show her the shop and the immediate area around the shop we stopped in. I had a positive experience at Tattoo Blues with a calf tattoo a few years back, so I came in as a repeat customer. My girl picked out a design and went under the gun first. Julian was our artist. Julian couldnt have been more respectful and professional in working on my girl. I also got another tattoo as well. We both love our tattoos and will be back on our next trip to Ft Lauderdale. The shop is very cool and welcoming. All of the staff are personable and make it for a comfortable experience. Thanks again guys!

Really great shop. Alex has done two tats for me and both experiences were awesome. Not only is he a super talented artist who loves and cares about what he does, but he has an enjoyable personality as well. I am so happy with the work he has done for me ( very detailed paisley pattern on my forearm, and a bike chain and gears on my hip/thigh/knee area). He spent time working on sketches for me and sending me pics of his work. The other dudes who work there seem equally chill and talented from what Ive seen. I would HIGHLY recommend this shop, and of course Alex in particular. I will definately be back to Tattoo Blues for more ink and piercings.
