Well I have visited Tractor Supply Store in Deland over the years but I have to say this the last 3 or so visits today (9/15/2013) being one of them was HIGHLY DISCOURAGING! I went in with a name of a product and could not locate the item on the shelf. After checking each shelf for over an hour I went to the service desk. The guy there was on facebook...shock me! He acted like I was interfering with his facebook time! He looks up the word of the item says I have no idea what this is so I tell him what it is and what it is used for and for what animal. He then directs me up front to speak with Clara the horse expert! He said the item can be used for a variety of animals and since she is the expert she would be able to tell him where it is in the store. I wait patiently as she jokes with a customer and I give her the item name, what it is for and what animal it is for. (Horses she is after all the expert) Clara looks it up looks at me and states I have no idea what this is you spelled it wrong. I told her the guy in the back googled it and no it isnt spelled wrong. I will have to wait for "Jade" to return from outside she says but you will have to move so I can take care of "paying customers!" Seriously? I was a paying customer too, I waited patiently for the expert to assist me only to be told no I cant help you. So I waited another 5+ minutes waiting for her to join me after I noticed Jade re-enter the store. Jade get behind the register now proper protocol would have been to come assist me (the non-paying person!) but no they both worked the register then stopped when there was no one else in line and proceeded to talk and laugh and joke. All while I waited watching them. Finally I just got frustrated and left with my money. Luckily Deland has more than one supply store so I entered that store having never been in it before. Gave her the name of the item ad what it was used for, she never even had to get away from the counter she handed it right to me! And it was cheaper than it was on-line! It is sad that a store like Tractor Supply would treat their customers so horridly. I wont be going back to their store ever again! I suggest you dont either!

Excellent store. I moved to the area recently and Sarah in particular has been incredibly helpful. On two occasions she took the time to walk me around the store and answer more than a few questions. I am an assistant service manager for Mercedes-Benz and understand great customer service. Sarah, is a rock star and delivers customer service at a level that can be considered above and beyond at any exclusive establishment. Thank you!

There have never been enough people working here since they opened. Last week in December 2016 had 2 people in the whole store, line at the check out backed up almost half way through the store. Employees say that corporate is just plain cheap/stingy....on the other side of the coin, great place to buy nuts and bolts, get them by the pound...WAY cheaper than box stores.

We drove almost 2 hours to get to this store because the item we needed was in stock here. Glen was a huge help and his patience was appreciated. Busy Sunday but all employees were still cordial.

Horrible place to work. Manager rob has a horrible attitude n treats employees horribly. Team lead sarah calls people all sorts of names etc. Not a nice place to work at all!

Staff not terribly knowledgeable and theyre always busy. But friendly. They havent had hay in awhile.
