I recently moved to Deland and lost a number of my books in the process. These last couple weeks I decided to try and replace a couple of the ones important to me. I went to a few new book stores in Sanford and Altamonte and couldnt find what I was looking for. I found a used book store in Sanford and they only had a handful of what I was looking for. But this place? This place is everything I ever wanted a bookstore to be. Its messy, chaotic, amazing, beautiful, library-like, and best of all: comfortable. The prices are just right--a little higher than most used shops but with the many ways to get bookstore credit, its actually completely worth it. You can return books youve read for credit toward another purchase. The people who work there are amazing on so many levels. Theyre friendly and fantastic. I cannot recommend this place enough.

I love the old book smell. I love the many rooms. I love the old building. I love to feel like I am among thousands of old, ancient books. These are the sole reasons of visiting used book stores. ENJOY the environment. Or you can go to a new, boring , sterile, book store covered in plastic.

The selection of books is crazy! Room after room filled from the floor the the ceiling with bookshelves. It almost feels a bit magical, and the friendly cats that roam the store help complete that effect. The prices are pretty good, and they will buy books for store credit.

Especially musty odor and dust EVERYWHERE. Hasnt had a vacuum run on the floor in years. Unfriendly staff. Expensive. Dont bother.
